Meet Nancy, Manager of Compliance Risk & Monitoring at Roche


Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a Canadian pharmacist with previous work experience in retail pharmacy, drug Information, and drug safety. I am currently studying Pharmaceutical Regulation as part of a graduate program and “training” (emphasis on quotations) for my first 10 km run in the spring!

What is your current position at Roche Canada?

I am the Manager of Compliance Risk & Monitoring in the Legal Division as part of Roche’s Career Development Internship Program (CDIP). The CDIP provides employees with internship assignments designed to provide exposure to various functions/departments under the direction of a mentor. Thanks to this program, I’ve had the opportunity to explore my career interests in Legal with tremendous support and guidance from my manager and peers. It has been an incredibly valuable and rewarding experience.

What can you tell us about your work environment at your location?

The work environment at Roche Canada is fantastic! The cafeteria serves an amazing variety of meals, and the gym is conveniently located onsite. The building is designed to maximize natural sunlight, with spacious and colourful meeting areas to facilitate collaboration and discussion with colleagues. The interior walls are decorated with Roche history and values; when I look around, I feel like I am part of something great, and it motivates me to do my best work.
