The Opportunity

The Product Owner will be a critical role to ensure the successful delivery of diagnostic lab equipment and clinical decision support products. Under the direction of a Product Manager, the Product Owner will execute on the product roadmap and own the delivery of the product’s features.

This position will be responsible for translating the customer’s needs into technical requirements and prioritizing the backlog in preparation for development. They will lead cross-functional teams’ alignment on the execution across a product and will regularly interact with UX, Engineering, and Data Science to ship innovation across the globe.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to translate the business requirements into user stories and system requirements.

  • Build, own and maintain the product backlog of stories for implementation by the scrum teams.

  • Own the sprint grooming sessions and participate in the agile scrum ceremonies.

  • Connect with the scrum teams to help scope and prioritize the user stories.

  • Manage day-to-day priorities with engineering teams and intensify trade-offs with stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the UI/UX team to craft elegant user experiences

  • Participate in daily standups, release planning, and retrospectives

  • Provide the voice of the customer to the development team and ensure that teams have clear understanding of what they are developing and the value it delivers

  • Implement the product roadmap and translate high level strategies into manageable stories and product backlog

  • Participate in internal workshops to define and initiate projects, assisting the Engineering team to identify dependencies

  • Support the development teams during each release cycle to clarify requirements, make priority calls, review test plans and determine a release schedule

Who are you

We are looking for a motivated and committed person able to inspire our team oriented towards the values of passion, integrity and courage!

Moreover you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS or other technical degree.

  • 2+ years experience as an Agile/Scrum product owner.

  • Experience with JIRA or a similar backlog management tool.

  • Experience shipping an enterprise, SaaS, or health-related technology product.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of partners with varying degrees of technical knowledge.

  • Familiarity with healthcare IT and different health data systems (PACS, LIS, EMR) is a plus.

  • Self-starter comfortable working in a constantly evolving, fast paced environment

  • Experience taking at least one product from conception to launch.

  • Strong planning, organization, and collaborative skills

  • A willingness to take the lead in new projects, be seen as a decision maker and drive projects to a successful outcome

  • MBA is strongly preferred.

  • Successful prior experience working in medical device, health sciences, high-tech, or cloud technologies industry preferred.
