Global Vendor Manager

In this position you will support the development of the strategic framework for governance processes to set up and optimize partnerships with vendors and drive continuous improvement. The position will champion vendor partnership across the Diagnostics IT organization and leverage vendor’s expertise in processes, systems enhancement as well as IT Software. You will support the decision making process for make / buy decisions, aggregation of services, changes in service delivery and investments in suppliers and supplier strategy. Even if commercial negotiations and the whole Rfx process are under the leadership of procurement you will support these processes with your VMO expertise. Furthermore, you support the DIA IT business on their way to deliver as per the defined DIA IT Sourcing Strategy and you provide support as well on our journey to the digital readiness in DIA IT. The scope of the position includes all Strategic IT Vendors providing application support and / or consulting, IT Software solutions as well as hosting services like Software- / Platform- or Infrastructure as a service. You will provide transparency about the existing vendors, an assessment on their status / criticality within Roche, key capabilities, spend, existing cooperation within Roche and further key figures as basis for decisions how to cooperate with these vendors

In this role you will:

  • Be a self-responsible and pro-active member of a globally aligned Vendor Management Team and with that working in a virtual environment. Actively support the further development and maturity of the vendor management organization
  • Lead initiatives as part of our IT Vendor / Contract Management Strategy and Compliance activities and with that building up competencies to be established in the Line Management after successful implementation
  • Ensure that supplier relationship management processes are followed as key business processes. You will mobilize the business to ensure that Dia IT Vendor Management is recognized as a value adding business partner
  • Ensure that the internal and external Service Providers deliver IT services as agreed and be escalation path in case this is not the case. Evaluate customer satisfaction measurements, while managing any issues/disputes between Diagnostics IT and the vendor
  • Contribute to the development and broadening of vendor and stakeholder management competencies, processes and knowledge base for Diagnostics IT, to be coordinated with peers in Group IT. You will report directly into the Global Head of Vendor management as well as to be a member of the Extended Leadership Team of the Solution Maintenance & Support Organization
