Job Title:  Reward Partner Benefits & Recognition

Summary:

The Reward Partner Benefits & Recognition (RPB) will partner with business leaders and People & Culture Business Partners to consult on and solve advanced benefit & recognition topics within a country or a region (Americas, EMEA, APAC). The RPB will also work with Reward Analysts within the PSS organization, to provide education and interpretation of both global and local reward information.

 

The Reward Partner-Benefits is an expert in the field of employee benefits and recognition programs and policies. The RPB will have an understanding of Roche global benefit & recognition policies and procedures as well as an advanced knowledge of the local/legal benefit and recognition practices and requirements in the geographic area in which they support. The Benefits Reward Partner is responsible for staying abreast of related market trends, global and/or local benefit regulations, compliance and best practice employee benefit offerings and practices. The RPB will develop innovative solutions, perform strategic vendor management, and assess effectiveness of programs. The position will work closely with the People and Culture Business Partner and other in-country partners on topics related, but not limited, to benefit and recognition design and implementation, program competitiveness and benchmarking, labor relations topics and benefit compliance.  In addition, the Benefits Reward Partner will develop and implement local and global offerings that ensure alignment to the strategic guidance of the Benefits & Recognition AoP.  Additionally, they will participate in and/or lead global or local project teams, work product teams and squads, as required, for continued chapter enhancement.

The RPB is responsible for the governance and adherence of all spine topics in both their business consulting and education/ guidance efforts with the Rewards Analyst position. The RPB applies decision principles to scope work and prioritize initiatives.   Additionally, the RPB will fully understand when an escalation is required and follow the escalation path to ensure local, regional or global alignment.

 

The RPB is accountable for implementing the strategic direction for the benefits and recognition area of practice (AoP) as set by the People Reward and Recognition Chapter Enabling Team.  This will include, but is not limited to, program design, implementation, vendor management and training.

 

The RPB actively contributes to the strategic vision and direction of the Benefits & Recognition AoP and the PR&R chapter at large. The position seeks opportunities for innovation and value creation and proactively  looks for process and program improvements that lead to practice area efficiency and sustainability.

The RPB advocates for and assists in the development of the larger reward community and promotes the agile philosophy and mindset  in their daily work. 

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement, manage and communicate innovative and effective benefit and recognition programs and policies 

  • Monitor and assess compliance, regulatory environment and best practices related to benefits and recognition

  • Negotiate, manage, execute insurance/program financial renewals, RFP selection activities, broker arrangements

  • Provide consultation to and collaborate with business, P&C leaders and PR&R colleagues  to create innovative approaches and solutions to complex rewards and recognition issues.

  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to the reward analyst position to enable the understanding of benefit programs, policy interpretation, etc.

  • Global and/or local squad participant or leader, as required, to address chapter challenges or work cross chapter to solve for or enhance 

  • Serve as a member of the PR&R chapter in the continual improvement of work processes and in reducing work from the system in order to create a more efficient and streamlined organization

 

Requirements:

  • Expertise and experience in the benefits and recognition field with advanced knowledge of the local benefit and recognition practices and requirements in the geographic area in which they support and an understanding of major global program philosophies.
