The team: Internal Communications
Internal Communications is a team within Group Communications serving Roche employees and senior leaders with timely, inspiring content, including events and videos, on high-impact topics. Next to our employee engagement expertise, we also provide Communication Business Partnering for the Corporate Functions Finance, Informatics, Legal and People & Culture. The Business Partners and Editorial Managers work together to provide flexible resourcing for the highest priority work, creating opportunities to continually develop skills and topic expertise. There is a broad spectrum of experience levels and skills in the team and everyone is accountable to contribute, try new things and grow expertise in all areas of the team’s remit.
The role: Editorial Manager
We are looking for a talented Editorial Manager who will be responsible for planning, writing and publishing a broad range of content formats serving our internal audiences and clients. The successful candidate will be skilled across different content types with a focus on digital, has a passion for healthcare topics, is a self-starter, and a master at effective communication.
Work with colleagues within Internal Comms as well as across Group Communications and the business to edit existing copy and create compelling crisp content on a variety of business topics.
Act as editor in chief for our intranet RocheHome and work to continuously improve the platform from an editorial and user perspective.
Evolve and implement content strategy into all relevant content projects.
Develop a full understanding of our audiences and incorporate metrics and insights into content creation process to optimize outcomes for our audiences.
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive integrated communications and keep abreast of business priorities and trends.
Help update and optimize the editorial calendar to foster greater transparency and collaboration.
The ideal candidate
You are a native English speaker with impeccable writing skills and are engaged and self-driven with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage various deliverables. You have a creative spirit and curiosity that is inspirational to others and bring the following skills and competencies:
University degree and relevant experience in editorial or content strategy role
Exceptional copywriting and editing skills and ability to quickly synthesize complex information into clear and compelling messaging and stories
Customer orientation and business acumen
Digital skills and data-minded with the ability to assess and report on content projects
Self-driven learner with the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
Strong project management and organizational skills
Creativity and innovation
