About the Position
Customer Segment Leads are new roles responsible for creating additional, sustainable value for our customers and patients in Roche Diagnostics Switzerland’s (RDCH) core business of providing innovative In Vitro Diagnostics solutions and related services.
Customer Segment Leads are responsible for the development and alignment of the vision and strategy for their respective area of responsibility with RDCH’s strategic directions and implement it through individual contributions and projects staffed with the right experts from within Roche (incl. Pharma, Diabetes Care, Business Areas, other country affiliates) and possibly even from outside. Hence, we are looking for candidates with relevant expertise in at least one of our largest customer segments: hospitals, private labs and medical practices. The ultimate goal is to further strengthen our market leadership position through a superior customer experience.
What you can expect to do:
Develop strategy and tactics in close collaboration with internal experts, securing continuous profitable growth within the given customer segment (Hospitals, Private Labs, Medical Practices)
Strive towards excellent customer experiences through segment specific inputs for Marketing to develop and implement an integrated commercialisation approach in the given customer segment to ensure optimal product portfolio commercialisation approach, customer acquisition and loyalty leading to revenue and profit growth
Identify opportunities to meet our customers’ needs, leveraging our innovative solutions and broad expertise across diagnostics, medicines, data analytics, digital tools and platforms, as well as process optimization
Ensure effective prioritisation of customer project ideas with stakeholders for appropriate resourcing (capabilities & capacities) of projects in close collaboration with chapter leads
Initiate, coach and orchestrate or even lead one or multiple cross-functional and potentially even cross-organizational projects
Enable pilots and customer co-creations and efficient scaling of successful solutions
Establish a trusting relationship with important key opinion leaders in the respective customer segment to receive outside-in perspective

To be successful in this role, you bring:
Expertise in IVD and at least one of our core customer segments, i.e. Hospitals, Private Labs, Medical Practices and a good understanding of the Swiss Healthcare System
An ability to co-create, communicate and implement a customer segment vision, pushing boundaries
Stakeholder management skills to establish and leverage a network across hierarchies and organizations to get the ideas, support and resources needed to succeed
A track record as Project and/or Program Leader, ideally in an agile setting (i.e. with squads and/or sprints)
Experience in Sales and/or Marketing
A curious, open and collaborative personality who likes to work in diverse, cross-disciplinary teams and practice lateral and inclusive leadership
An entrepreneurial mindset: dynamic and results oriented, challenging the status quo, high level of adaptability and creativity and comfortable in taking calculated risks
Problem solving skills and the resilience to move quickly past failures
Fluency in English and German or French
