The Agile Business Analyst (BA) (m/f/d) plays an active part in driving innovative and scalable solutions to bring value to business, as well as covering the solution’s lifecycle management to suit respective markets.

Your Responsibilities

As Agile IT Business Analyst (m/f/d) you will be part of an international Chapter organisation which is following agile principles. Your focus is that any solution is fulfilling known and understood business requirements while evolving it based on its roadmap. You further ensure that the product is continuously providing business value over its lifecycle. Collaborating with i.e. IT Business Partners, Product Owners and the Development Team is vital to achieve impact. Where needed you take inspiration from Roche internal networks or other external organizations. In addition you are responsible for the following topics:

  • You display skills and capabilities in the area of business partnering and/or product management and you act as an interface between business and IT functions and as a contact point for business leads in order to launch initiatives, leading and driving the scoping phase.

  • You collaborate with IT Business Partners and/or Product Managers in business development activities like translating business strategy in technology enabled strategies, prioritization activities, portfolio management processes, feasibility studies, clarifying available technology on the market and vendor selection (RFI/RFP/RFQ)

  • You strive for harmonization of business processes across sites and departments by propagating common standardized data models, applications and technologies that are in line with the cross-functional or functional Informatics strategies and architectures.

  • You will contribute to local as well as international initiatives, allowing you to collaborate and co-create with stakeholders across the various parts of the organisation. Recent project examples are the creation of IT Landscapes to enable digital transformation, introduction of innovative chatbot-based solutions in healthcare, and building applications to manage medical publications. 

  • Where appropriate, you take on the additional role of a Squad Lead.


Who You Are

You are an Agile ambassador who displays an Agile mindset in the approach to work. You are certified in at least one Agile framework/methodology (eg. Scrum, SAFe) and have practical knowledge of Agile Business Analysis framework (IIBA). Besides that you bring along an entrepreneurial spirit and are eager to explore ways to collaborate inside and outside of the organisation to achieve outcomes. Ideally, you were able to gain this experience in a Start-up or similar environment. You are an aspirational, motivated, collaborative team player who is focused and open minded. You enable a diverse group of partners to speak with a single voice and you demonstrate intellectual curiosity, integrity and a strong passion to bring value-adding technology to the business. Furthermore, you have strong communication skills including active listening, challenging the status quo, coaching, translating business vocabulary into technical wording and vice versa, adopting communication style to the recipient. Moreover,

  • You have a minimum of a BSc degree in IT, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Artificial Intelligence, or any relevant degree. 

  • You have business domain knowledge in commercial excellence, digital & multichannel or CRM

  • You have the ability to quickly learn new business domains, elicitation and management of requirements, business process analysis and design, usability and the ability to facilitate workshops.

  • Roche follows a “virtual first” approach, travel is only considered for situations where it is truly adding value. Therefore, you can work in a mobile setting/Home Office.
