One-year opportunity to work as Diagnostics Science Liaison !

  • The main purpose of the job is to contribute to developing and driving joint Diagnostics and Pharma tissue testing programs in West/Central Africa to improve access to testing
  • A field-based professional liaising with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and internal stakeholders  to provide the scientific information that they require in the context of their work to establish tissue diagnostics capabilities, in accordance to local laws, regulations and codes, and Roche SOPs
  • Establish and develop long-term, peer-to-peer relationships with HCPs and other key partners  focusing on improving access to testing and delivering quality interactions and services that bring value to HCPs, and other partners and that are aligned and coordinated with Roche strategies
  • Contribute to the strategy, and implement the in-field tactics to support legitimate and relevant exchange of Medical Information

Main objectives will be :

  • Works closely together with the Regional and local Diagnostics and Pharma teams including local biomarker specialists to support the medical objectives related to testing implementation
  • Interacts with HCPs to understand their views, preferences, interests, challenges and opportunities related to implementation of testing under existing partnerships
  • Understands needs for training, including in pre-analytics, develops training materials and resources and rolls out training regionally and locally
  • Provides medical input as required to potential new local partnerships
  • Responds to specific, unsolicited, requests from HCPs (in line with the MSL Ways of Working) using all available approved means
  • Supports Roche/sponsored Dx solutions and execution including enhancing the site’s performance and quality
  • Understands and acts in line with legal, regulatory and company standards and codes of practice
  • Informs Local Safety Responsible of safety issues according to Roche safety SOPs; and provides scientific support and follow-up on product safety issues
  • Identifies data sources and coordinates data collection in order to improve knowledge and understanding of the tissue testing environment
  • Works closely and collaborates with the Medical Science Liaison, Regional Head, and Roche Diagnostics team to enhance testing initiatives
  • Ensures internal knowledge sharing and notification on any Biomarker and Personalized Health Care issues or developments identified
  • Aims to further Roche’s strategic goals in a competitive yet compliant manner while preserving the integrity and reputation of Roche
  • Conducts business with the highest ethical standards in full compliance with local and international laws, regulations and Codes of practices
  • Helps profile HCP practices, needs, preferences and views
  • Supports HCP to establish appropriate PDL1-testing practices and processes
  • Determines HCP interest in educational events
  • Participates in/supports the Medical Managers (MMs) and others in the execution of advisory boards
  • Collaborates with HCPs on the development of educational material
  • Provides support to speakers on the development of materials, e.g. presentations
  • Develops progressively involved relationships with external experts with clear outputs that meet the needs of the external expert and benefits the patient through Roche activities (e.g. testing program implementations)
  • Manages Key Opinion Leader relationships and interacts with external stakeholders and pathologists for the purpose of establishing and strengthening relationships in order to deliver on overall objectives.
  • Maintains and builds internal relationships in order to ensure a strong network and support structure to meet the overall objectives including participation in relevant Product Teams.
  • Takes responsibility for developing appropriate collaboration approaches in conjunction with Roche Diagnostics to maximize and leverage our partnership
  • Provides customer service levels within the framework of “Going the Extra Mile”, but not to the detriment of Roche

Qualifications

• Minimum of a science, pharmacy or medical sciences degree, preferably a MSc or higher degree
