Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) -- Early in Career (EiC) Partner 

ROLE SUMMARY

As a D&I EiC Partner, you have a passion for D&I with expertise in Early in Career recruiting and program management. You will be a member of a U.S.-based team within a global community, and work throughout the Roche/Genentech network to implement a regional D&I Early in Career Recruiting Strategy to become the employer of choice for diverse talent in a competitive market and in support of Roche's 10-year ambitions. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish, cultivate and drive partnerships with outside diversity-focused organizations (e.g. universities - incl. HBCUs/HSIs, research institutions, and non-profit organizations) to ensure alignment with overall Roche/Genentech EiC strategy  

  • Activate the business to connect with, advocate for and be accountable for building out their diverse internal and external EiC communities 

  • Provide expertise and partnership to support internal D&I goals to ensure they are aligned with Genentech’s and Roche’s vision, purpose, values and 10-Year Ambitions. 

  • Provide thought leadership and expert consulting on pipelining, sourcing, and recruiting diverse Early in Career populations with an emphasis on  Black, Hispanic/Latinx and Asian talent  

  • Partner with EiC Partners aligned to business functions and provide thought partnership and advisement on specific D&I strategies for each targeted area

  • Partner with several internal employee led groups (HBCU Initiative) to ensure operational and KPI success

  • Develop and execute approaches to proactively build, operationalize, and develop sustainable, Black, Hispanic/Latinx and Asian Early in Career talent pipelines

  • Deliver strategic outcomes; manage dependencies and help remove obstacles that stand between commitments/goals and business success

  • Conduct meaningful and courageous business and leadership conversations earning you the trust of leaders   

  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to establish D&I Early in Career talent strategies, measurable D&I objectives  and goals; create processes for holding leaders accountable through KPIs and metrics

  • Create momentum in the organization for D&I, amplifying existing commitments to create an environment where all employees feel they belong

  • Participate and contribute to the relevant Areas of Practice; serve as a strategic thought partner

  • Coach and mentor other colleagues to build D&I capability within our community/chapter

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience experience in HR management, organizational development, D&I, and or business/related field

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in recruitment/talent acquisition with a focus in D&I and or University/Early in Career recruitment for a minimum of 3 years

  • Proven ability to diagnose issues/needs and develop appropriate strategies and actions to address those needs

  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills in addressing all levels (from students to senior leadership)

  • Proven program and project management skills to manage large cross functional projects with many voices towards a common goal within specific timelines
