The main purpose of this role is to initiate, execute and follow up the prioritized tasks and projects contained in the “NGS Access Plan”.

This plan, collaboratively designed by Roche Pharma and Roche Diagnostics, and aligned with Roche10-years ambitions aims to identify the landscape and dynamics to enable broad uptake and equitable adoption of NGS testing in Spain, resulting in pathway transformation, funding, optimal and appropriate use of Roche innovations and personalized healthcare solutions, and ultimately, better outcomes for patients.

Prioritized tasks within the plan

  • Market landscaping: 1) mapping clinical pathways in different Tier hospitals 2) laboratory and KOL identification 3) Competitor analysis and review 4) Customer segmentation 5) thoroughly examination of all arrangements for all available sequencing diagnostic methods

  • Build a road map to NGS clinical guideline adoption: 1) gather existing guidelines 2) identify current regional gaps (e.g. funding and evidence) 3) mobilize the existing relevant internal roles to address those gaps 

  • Design a comprehensive Market Access plan for our Oncology 

  • Sequencing Solutions by identifying and prioritizing pivotal market access hurdles, objectives, milestones and a timeline to address them.

  • Propose and initiate a pilot quality assurance scheme for NGS for oncology

  • Set-up of 3-5 reference sites, early evaluator program, suitable evaluation metrics and a prototype for wider test adoption.

  • Participate in the final design and review of the HEOR study included in the plan

  • Lead the implementation of the HEOR study

The following activities underlie and support these tasks and shall be conducted through project management:

•Laboratory engagement and medical awareness activities.

•Analytical surveys

•Advisory Boards

•Creation of business cases

•Internal alignment with commercial and sales organisations, business areas and Access&Development.

Who you are:

First degree level BA/BSc or equivalent qualification is essential. Masters or PhD degree in life sciences, health economics, health service research or a clinical discipline is desirable.
Successful track record in market access and/or commercial sales and/or marketing in a healthcare setting.
Previous experience in designing and conducting Heath Economics and Outcomes Research studies is highly desirable.
Technical/ clinical disease area expertise is essential, in particular, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
Comfortable managing complex projects and effectively communicating both progress against objectives, and solutions to overcome obstacles in a matrix-management environement
A willingness to travel nationally (<50%) and internationally (<5%) is essential (depending on current and future travel restrictions)
