A day in the life of a Customer Driven Team Lead Established Brands & Account Management

You will lead, in a matrix structure, the portfolio of Established brands, having the fulsome accountability for the business, as well as the account approach or our entire portfolio. You will have full team responsibility on P&L, strategy and setting of team objectives, plans & tactics. Besides these responsibilities, you will also play an important role in evolving our concept on customer engagement and advance partnership opportunities with our stakeholders.

Working in a matrix structure means your team will be very divers. The Network Coordinators, Tender Manager and Product Manager will be part of the CDT. The team is extend and requires strong partnership with Legal, Business Operations, External Affairs, the Finance Controller, …. Next to this, you will work along with other colleagues of different functions to obtain or exceeds the team goals.

Together with the other Customer Driven Team Leads you run and oversee the affiliate wide strategies. You work together and collaborate with the Enabling Team (our local leadership team) by doing so you make critical contributions to the overall vision, strategy and infrastructure.

Your key customers will be Hospital pharmacists, Hospital buyers and C-Suite, you can divide the accountabilities for this team into 4 pillars:

  • Build strong corporate partnership, position Roche as a valuable & innovative partner 
  • Leverage & enable account partnerships of strategic brands in close collaboration with the accountable teams of our strategic brands
  • Tender management
  • Manage Established Portfolio

To find out, you will have to keep on reading. To pick up this challenging role we are looking for someone with an established experience within marketing, sales, medical or market access, of course within the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, related industry or healthcare environment. We will be even more excited if you have experience working in complex or challenging business environment. Furthermore, you are a forecast and strategic master! Forecasting has no secrets for you. Having expertise in account management and tendering will be an asset.

Being the Customer Driven Team Lead Late Stage will require a special mindset. Why? It is a challenging market. You will need a helicopter view on the portfolio and a special business fiber: a strong business sense and the ability to maintain sustained partnerships in end of life cycle for brands who still are very valuable and lifesaving. Let there be no misunderstanding: this team is creating high value for our company. This is also the purpose of the role! You will lead the team with a “can do” mentality. It is getting the best out of the business although it is also about coping with loss. A “can do” mentality also means: never forget our customer focus: hospital pharmacist, c-suite, buyers,…

From a leaders perspective. You are our leader, not a manager. Which means you will lead and drive the business without hierarchical reporting lines. This requires a solid experience in leadership & in coordinating teams in a matrix structure. You are a great facilitator and influencer. Being a leader at Roche is all about transparency and open communication. Therefore, we expect you to have very strong communication, interpersonal and partnering skills. You don’t fear building towards sustainable relationships. You will also bring strategic agility and change management to our organization. You excel at driving organizational change and innovation. Belgium is complicated country as it comes to languages, we expect you to be fluent in three languages: Dutch, French & English.
