As the Director Medical Communication, you will work at Roche Pharma (Switzerland) AG, the Swiss affiliate of the Roche Group based in Basel-Stadt. We are a team of ca. 180 employees and cover Registration, Market Access & Health Care Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing & Sales, Governmental Affairs and Quality Assurance for the pharmaceuticals of Roche in Switzerland. As the Director Medical Communication, you are responsible for driving the overall conceptual strategy for medical communication and new innovative educational formats, and establishing leading standards in scientific communication in Switzerland; driving innovative patient engagement and partnership activities across all products and disease areas; and continuously optimizing all organizational and administrative aspects of medical and patient activities and solutions.
Lead, coach and guide the team of Medical Scientific Managers focusing on Medical Communication, the Managers Patient Partnership, and the Medical Project Coordinators
Establish an overall conceptual strategy for medical education and new innovative formats for HCP medical communication, primarily by co-creating with TAEs and HCPs
Set framework and educate the team on functional excellence in scientific communication as well as patient engagement
Guide the team in co-creating and collaborating with external stakeholders for medical education formats, advisory boards and publications as well as patient engagement and partnership activities
Drive the continuous optimization of medical project coordination, covering all organizational and administrative aspects of the planning, development, execution and processing of medical and patient activities and solutions
MD, PharmD or PhD in life science
Several years of experience in scientific communication in the pharmaceutical industry at a global or local level required
Expert communication skills and expertise in digital communication required
Line management experience preferred
Languages: German and English expected; French preferred
