Summary

Extend support to the Legal department with regard to providing legal advice, preparing legal documents, negotiating, remaining updated with legislation changes, proactively and efficiently engaging with stakeholders, working autonomously but also as a team player while maintaining at all times company’s values, best interest and confidentiality.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review of a wide variety of legal documents and contracts under the supervision of the Head of Legal
  • Conduct legal research and data analysis as directed
  • Convey legal advice on different legal issues and follow-up information, in consultation with Head of Legal and/or external lawyers if need be, regarding risks and legal liabilities of actual policies, practices and contractual situations
  • Draft legal opinion, memorandums and other briefing documents in consultation with Head of Legal
  • Negotiate contractual issues and agreements with internal and external parties as appropriate
  • Proactively communicate and follow up with stakeholders 
  • Remain up-to-date with new relevant legislation and prepare summary for Head of Legal
  • Liaise with government officials, business divisions, external law offices and management on various legal issues
  • Ensure review and compliance with the corporate policies, processes and with Roche Code of Conduct and compliance rules
  • Participate in establishing and implementing training programs
  • Support Head of Legal in conducting legal audits and monitors the implementation of legal clauses
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and displays positive attitude

Who You Are

  • You hold a BSc degree in Law (must). Post graduate/MSc degree is preferred
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience as legal counsel or private practice/law firm experience. Previous private practice experience, member of Bar Association (passed bar exam)
  • You have a knowledge of Middle East and European laws, including but not limited to Commercial, Corporate, Labor Laws, etc.
  • You have attention for detail, are well organized, and able to work under pressure cope with stress in a fast paced environment and embrace challenges
  • You have the following values including high sense of integrity, confidentiality and commitment
  • You are proactive, able to plan and prioritize work to manage time effectively and accomplish assigned tasks
  • You display a positive and solution oriented attitude and create a trustful environment
  • You have are able to work in a multicultural place and request feedback and deal with it in constructive way
