Roche Diagnostics has created a new start-up business charged with building a modern software stack that will improve the processes and clinical decision support in healthcare. Job Description 

The Application Consultant has accountability for working with customers to optimise their adoption of the Navify TB solution.  You will train the customers, optimise application configurations, and, working with the Roche Healthcare Consultant, facilitate workflow transformation.

You will ensure that the Roche solution is properly deployed at customer sites, and that implementations create an exceptional customer experience during the on-boarding process. 

Analyzing the workflow in combination with the supporting IT systems and the points in the workflow where data is being generated and is made available to NAVIFY, regarding both the usual flow and exceptions to that usual flow.  Participating in data testing and user acceptance testing.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping to shape the future of this new organization within Roche Diagnostics.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Education and Training: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain educational and training curriculum for customer base.

  • Workflow Transformation: Working with Roche Healthcare Consulting, support  customer workflow change management. Create and maintain best practices for solution workflow configuration. 

  • On Boarding New Customer Sites: Handle the onboarding of new customer sites by working with your project management team, external integration partners, the internal software engineering group, and the clinical and technical teams at the customer sites.

  • Vision: Shape the future roadmap of the business by investigating new processes, technology, implementing proof of concepts, and proposing innovative new solutions with respect to education and training.

  • Travel: Travel (up to 75%) to customer or Roche sites to train customer and support additional business needs.


Background and Skills

  • Education: 

    • B.S. in a clinical, scientific, or closely related discipline required.  Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted;

    • Lean, Six-sigma, or closely related training and certification.

  • Experience: 

    • 4+ years of experience in the healthcare informatics domain;

      • Preferred background in cancer care or closely related field;

    • Have successfully deployed and supported enterprise-scale, web applications in the cloud;

    • Must have operational experience supporting both single and multi-tenant SaaS solutions;

    • Demonstrable experience in workflow change management;

    • Good communicator - able to speak with stakeholders and customers to explain technology and solutions.

    • Proven ability to take insights from customers and translate them into technical deliverables.

    • Proven ability to manage escalations, defusing emotions and delivering difficult messages sensitively. 

  • Qualities:

    • Passionate about educating adults, healthcare, and technology;

    • Looking for individuals who are innovative, demonstrate initiative, and capable of functioning independently toward clear business objectives with limited direct guidance.
