As part of the Master Data Management Team in Kaiseraugst, the Master Data Process and Quality Expert is responsible for ensuring that clear master data business processes and rules are in place for the accurate, timely and high quality master data maintenance in SAP and MES Systems. In this role, you will be the Site’s master data ambassador with the responsibility to represent and influence Master Data Global projects and programs. Additionally, you will be responsible for aligning business processes and data rules with local and global departments.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Develops global processes and related higher-level process indicators for master data management, in collaboration with Global BPO/BCO and ensures that these are effectively implemented and sustainably applied at the Site
  • Ensures that interfaces to other processes are clearly defined and that the requirements of upstream and downstream processes are known and can be met
  • Collaborates with relevant functions on the continuous improvement of the business processes including meaningful application of process health indicators (PHIs) and/or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Evaluates business process changes, determines impact to Site processes and ensures that relevant documentation and training is timely cascaded to the impacted organization
  • Responsible to find innovative ways to automate master data business processes, master data rules, master data audits, ad-hoc reports in order to minimize waste and increase productivity
  • Maintains data accountability documentation and measurement tools
  • Coordinates master data set-up for projects & gain expertise in business’ data needs for all business processes at the site
  • Coordinates Trackwise Deviation Records and use them to improve manage master data processes
  • Performs ad-hoc data mining/reporting for Root Cause Analysis activities or rule refinement
  • Member of different governance bodies at the site and perform regular knowledge exchange with key stakeholders
  • Performs Data Maintenance Activities
  • Works closely with quality assurance due to the tight integration with GMP requirements

Qualifications

Education

  • Computer Science or related Technical or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is desired
  • APICS and/or SCOR certification is a plus
  • AGILE certification is a plus

Experience

  • 3+ year experience in business/operations in Master Data Management
  • 1+ year experience in Business Process Management
  • Experience in Project management or Project Coordination
  • Experience in applying LEAN methods & tools
  • Experience with RPA or similar technology implementations for processes automation (focus on Master Data is a plus)
  • Experience with creating and establishing best practices for MDG
