I enjoy connecting with people, and I grasp every opportunity to broaden my scope - Meet Regina
Flexible, innovative, and stable are the words I'd use to describe Roche as an employer. There's an abundance of learning opportunities available for employees.
I joined Roche in 2016 as a Learning Specialist in the Global Learning Services (GLS) department. Within GLS, we build collaborative relationships with Learning Experts and Business Partners and support global learning systems. In 2019, the global transition between two systems opened up a new advisory role within GLS which seemed like a perfect match for me. I was promoted to Senior Learning Specialist & Key Account Advisor and became the representative of my dedicated business area. My scope gradually evolved into a new role and I currently work as a Learning Service Advisor. I support the business's training strategy and my participation in client meetings equips me to understand their needs and convert them into standard processes.
Through coaching and supporting our new team members I have the opportunity to leverage my in-depth knowledge and promote our best practices. Besides the daily operational responsibilities I was a member of the People Focus Community, organizing memorable social events and programs like ePal, which strengthened the relations between colleagues at different sites. I also had the opportunity to put my system expertise to work and hold regular trainings for new hires. Furthermore, I spent three months at the Roche affiliate in Budaörs in 2018, where I supported the local HR department.
Transparency, the openness for new ideas and the commitment to invest in employees are incorporated into Roche's company culture.
The impact we make is significant: if employees don't receive the right training at the right time they might fail to perform their jobs as required. With my contribution, employees can have a better learning experience. Leveraging technology in the right way by adding context, relevance, and personalization greatly benefits our learners. I believe that receiving proper training and continuous learning are extremely important in a highly-regulated company like Roche. My most notable achievement to date is the Cornerstone system transition, where I played a significant role. I'm so proud to have contributed to this major global project, ensuring that both my team and our organizations were ready for the go-live. My hard work and supportive attitude never go unnoticed, and I continuously receive positive feedback, applause points, and an annual bonus. There are new challenges every day, and I'm motivated by seeing how the results of my efforts translate into processes. Finding new and exciting solutions and thinking outside of the box help me stay engaged and continue developing.
The place to Work
Flexible, innovative, and stable are the words I'd use to describe Roche as an employer. There's an abundance of learning opportunities available for employees. I'm satisfied with our benefits package, and I want to highlight employee engagement, which receives special emphasis at Roche. It's promoted through different measures; for instance, the most recently introduced 'Loyalty Program' grants long-tenured employees additional vacation days. I already had a chance to use my additional two weeks of vacation after my third work anniversary. I think this is truly unique on the Hungarian market. Home office is another excellent benefit we all appreciate. My manager is friendly and very easy to communicate with; I don't feel stressed when running a quick errand - the company offers flexibility. Well-being is traditionally part of the Roche culture and represents the company's attitude. In October, I participated in a 21-day company-wide meditation challenge, which was such an enjoyable experience.
At Roche, I'm surrounded by a rich, diverse, and positive company culture. My colleagues are kind and professional at what they do. Transparency, the openness for new ideas and the commitment to invest in employees are incorporated into Roche's company culture. Our leaders put an emphasis on explaining the 'why' behind decisions. In our team, we often organize team building events. Through close collaboration with other GLS teams, we share best practices, good-to-knows, and form task-specific communities, and we also align our actions with the Center of Excellence Learning Operations. We have weekly technical meetings where we discuss updates and improvement areas. I happily make use of the 360-degree feedback, which provides performance assessments from all sides. I appreciate receiving constructive feedback from many different perspectives. In addition, there are monthly check-ins with my manager that help me reflect on all aspects of my work.
