Duties:

As an Office Communication Specialist, you are the expert in information processing and conveying communication. The field of work extends across many departments in the company with the focus on office management and commercial administration. Your duties include assistance, secretarial and clerical processing tasks. We provide you with modern information and communication technologies to support you.

Content of the Apprenticeship:

Focus: Assistance and secretariat

The following activities and focuses make up your tasks as an Office Communication Specialist:

  • Applying business communication systems
  • Coordinating appointments
  • Preparing, booking and billing business travel
  • Organising meetings and events
  • Determining requirements and procuring materials
  • Handling of customer inquiries
  • Participating in the planning and implementation of projects

Course of training:

  • Start is the first of September of a year
  • During the basic training, which lasts several weeks, the most important contexts are explained and the first core qualifications are imparted
  • During assignments in the different departments, the focus is on teaching professional qualifications
  • The assignments in assistance and secretarial area can for example take place in the following departments: Communications and Public Affairs, Event Management, Finance and Business Services, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales and Human Resources
  • Theoretical contents are regularly taught at the vocational school
  • The vocational training ends with a final examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Additional Training Elements:

  • Interdisciplinary project weeks
  • Internal trainings (e.g. communication, presentation, MS Office etc.)
