Imaging specialist (temporary, 2 years)

The successful candidate will work in a histopathology laboratory with a strong focus on digital pathology/image analysis and tissue based biomarkers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implement digital pathology workflows such as image acquisition, including bright field and fluorescent whole slide scanning, algorithm development, in silico multiplexing, data analysis and interpretation
  • Apply your understanding of biology and histopathology
  • Work in a highly collaborative manner within a multidisciplinary team of veterinary pathologists and scientists
  • Be responsible for the development of fit for purpose digital pathology solutions
  • Have close interaction with pathologists, immunosafety experts and toxicology leaders with the intent to provide optimal data to support decision making contributions from target validation to candidate optimization and selection in different therapeutic areas
  • Develop image acquisition protocols, workflow implementation and validation/quality control
  • Provide statistics and Data mining
  • Develop algorithms for image analysis, image recognition, and image reconstruction in the context of tissue-based biomarker assessment and animal model validation
  • Integrate data visualization software into workflows
