Principal Talent Partner - Recruiter Pharma Tech Development & SSF Production

As a Principal Talent Partner for the global PT organization, you will work with senior management in the recruitment of talent to the Pharma Technical Development organization and the South San Francisco Production facility. 


You may lead a group of experienced Talent Partners and Talent Discovery Partners, providing both tactical and strategic guidance. You will coordinate requisition distribution; individually manage a portfolio of openings and focus on meeting or exceeding client's expectations and ensuring a positive candidate experience. You will work with employees and managers in PTD and SSF Production to assure that we have the talent required to meet their business objectives. As a leader within the group, you will foster a team environment and demonstrate collaborative leadership. You will partner with the Human Resource Managers and Talent Acquisition to develop and implement staffing plans and strategies for your client groups while ensuring that elements of diversity and organizational fit are included in the recruiting and hiring process.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Drive the employment process and strategies within assigned organization, including developing complex recruiting strategies
  • Managing expectations of hiring managers and candidates, identifying and resolving issues
  • Coach managers in providing feedback to candidates, developing offers, determining competencies, coordinating and training interview team
  • Perform executive recruiting, including identifying appropriate Contingency or Retained Search firms, maintaining relationships and partnering to ensure that candidates are interviewed expeditiously
  • Conduct interviews using in depth behavioral and skills assessment techniques
  • Contribute to the development of staffing process improvements.
  • Ensures recruiting solutions are consistent with Talent Acquisition objectives
  • Act as point person for clients in providing staffing reports and metrics including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Act as project manager for client focused staffing projects (not just req focused)
  • Utilize, update and maintain applicant tracking system and CRM
  • Educate managers on legal implications in hiring
  • Partner with finance in determining headcount forecast
  • Manage the reconciliation of the budgeted headcount vs. actual headcount; Work with Talent Acquisition Director on budget recommendations
  • Management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate use of internal tools and resources
  • Demonstrate understanding business issues and impact to talent acquisition
  • Work with Talent Acquisition Director on recommendations for PTLT recruitment/relocation budget 
  • Manage and oversee relocation/recruiting budget for individual client group at the officer level
  • Responsible for pipeline management, promotion and reporting
  • Partner with Client Group on internal talent management, including succession planning, talent review and internal candidate movement
  • Proactively manage escalation process related to all requisition activity (internal vs. external challenges)
  • Responsibility for Conference/Event management related to external recruiting, partner with Talent Acquisition in strategic direction of event, and determine ROI for event participation; including attendance of scientific conferences and networking events
  • Develop advertising strategies for specific groups and coordinate advertising activities with recruitment advertising agency
