The Position:

Roche Diagnostics Australia (the market leader in Haematology, and with game changing new products in Lab Coagulation and Urinalysis) is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to lead our Haematology, Lab Coagulation, & Urinalysis portfolio. 

This role will be responsible for delivering first class product management and marketing activities to internal and external stakeholders to ensure we deliver an exceptional experience to our valued customers as they perform their critical work.

Based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, and reporting to the CPS Marketing Manager, you will use your expertise to:

  • Develop and execute the strategic & tactical marketing plans relating to your portfolios – market analysis, competitor analysis, strategic goals and strategies, aligned multi-media marketing activities

  • Be responsible for product management of the portfolio – responsible for pricing and product lifecycle management; ensure regulatory compliance excellence; liaise with inventory team for management of forecasts and inventory levels; drive relevant tender preparation and response; develop a level of expertise in the analytical and clinical characteristics of the products

  • Maintain excellent market knowledge, including market opportunities, competitive knowledge and customer needs

  • Provide accurate and expert scientific, sales and marketing advice to both internal and external customers.

  • Develop relevant sales tools and customer-focussed materials to support the promotion of the portfolios to our target audiences; conduct internal and external product training sessions

  • Work with Medical Affairs to support local studies to remove barriers to adoption, and to identify and nurture local KOLs and advocates

  • Liaise with the relevant APAC & Global Business Units to ensure alignment of Australian Marketing strategy and tactics

  • Participation at conferences and relevant scientific meetings

To be successful in this position, our new team member will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Background in Haematology is essential

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Pathology or Science

  • Qualifications or experience in Sales and/or Marketing (highly desirable)

  • At least 6 years of lab medicine industry experience, and existing relationships in the Australian lab medicine profession (highly desirable)

  • Exceptional communication skills, business acumen, attention to detail, and organisational skills

  • Passionate team player who can bring people with you to deliver an exceptional customer experience, generate new thinking, and deliver success to both Roche and our customers

  • A people person who enjoys working with people across various clinical specialties, professions, and geographies (local and regional travel involved)
