1. Position Overview

The Employee Engagement Partner works with all areas of the organization to nurture a local culture and engage and inform employees. Through various in-person and virtual engagements, this team member enables deeper connections between employees, with our shared purpose, and helps bring our new ways of working to life. Additionally, this team member will  drive employee initiatives and find engaging ways to deliver news and information through different channels.

2. Responsibilities

Culture Enablement

  • Builds our Roche Pharma Vietnam (RPV) culture and champions campaigns to sustain it, while also strengthening bonds with our counterparts in Roche Diagnostics Vietnam

  • Drives efforts to embed desired mindsets and behaviors in RPV in line with our transformation

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to engage employees throughout the year,   organizes activities such as employee wellness activities,volunteering opportunities (e.g., blood drives, charity events), holiday celebrations, and ad hoc employee activities

  • Takes a leadership role and/or partners closely on key change initiatives and affiliate-wide events

  • Manages feedback channels and senses employee engagement levels, helping the organization to proactively take action to address potential opportunities or issues

Internal Engagement and Communications 

  • Builds strategy for their effective use of, maintains, and updates/curates content for all internal communication channels and repositories such as our local Google Site and Currents community, hallway media, newsletter and RPV calendar

  • Leads the planning and execution of national kickoff meeting, town halls and other in-person or virtual gatherings  

  • Drafts and/or supports others in the development of affiliate-wide announcements

  • Guides teams on their communication needs and provides stewardship when needed

  • Ensures appropriate consistency and coordination across different teams, messages and channels

  • Helps build RPV colleagues’ expertise with the use of digital communication tools

  • Serves as an active member of global communications communities, bringing knowledge and best-practices back to Vietnam and contributing back to the network

  • Assists with occasional translation, both in written form and verbally during in-person events

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as required by the business

  • Be responsible for all aspects of safety, health and environmental protection in the areas under control

  • Be responsible for reporting all available information of an adverse event within one business day of awareness

3. Experiences, Knowledge and Qualifications 

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication, including deep listening and presentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with senior leaders, individual colleagues, cross-functional and self-managed teams, and peers across the wider Roche network

  • Independent and self-motivated with a strong growth mindset and willingness to take risks

  • Team player who can influence without authority and takes high accountability for their actions

  • Confident to advocate for their position while willing to seek and incorporate feedback 

  • At least 3-5 years of related communications and engagement experience. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Knowledge and Capabilities

  • Demonstrable track record of leading employee engagement initiatives

  • Demonstrable track record of building and managing communication campaigns 

  • Expertise with digital communication tools with comfort/interest in learning new digital applications

  • Practical understanding of agile principles is a plus

  • Fluent in Vietnamese and English


  • University degree in communications, marketing, organizational behavior or a related field
