Are you a dynamic personality with a close affinity with innovation and development?  Do you want to work for a world leading business in in-vitro diagnostics helping doctors to save lives?  Do you like to connect and present to people in the healthcare domain?

We are looking to hire a top talent in laboratory workflow design & healthcare consultancy.  We want to bring our customers and patients to the reach of the best technological solutions and care possible.

Roche Diagnostics is bringing innovative diagnostic solutions and IT systems to healthcare institutions, private labs and hospitals that enable them to intelligently process and present the data to doctors to support the treatment and care decision making.

We are looking for a true expert in designing the best laboratory workflow solutions and helping these installations to go live in Belgium as part of a multidisciplinary team:

  • Ideally you have thorough experience in laboratory workflows (people, sample and data flow). You will be hands-on with the customers developing and implementing in-vitro diagnostics technologies and initiatives. You have a passion for novel technologies in the healthcare space.

  • At the start you will need to learn, thus you will be joining other team members on highly sophisticated projects bringing industry-leading laboratory solutions to the customers, including leading laboratories in Belgium.

  • You are not afraid of a hands-on approach that allows you to learn fast.

  • You have a positive mental "doer" attitude with a hands-on promptness in decision making.

  • You can communicate very clearly, weld together diverse teams.

  • After the initial learning period you will coach other team members and bring together automation, workflows, information technology and data solutions across the whole healthcare continuum.  You do not need to be an expert in IT as we have a dedicated team for that.

  • You need to be a dynamic, high energy and self-starting individual who inspires teams through natural leadership and passion, energizing those around him/her.

  • Ideally you have experience in lean and agile ways of working and you have an agile mindset. These include respect, collaboration, improvement and learning cycles, pride in ownership, focus on delivering value, and the ability to adapt to change.

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively participate as a key player in commercial and agile teams; ensuring that we are well fit for the future and bring benefits to our customers and patients

  • You are able to steer teams with your influencing and moderation skills, and you have good human interaction skills; you like to co-create with the customers

  • Understand and translate the customer opportunities into real concrete projects

  • Be part of the teams consulting on highly sophisticated in-vitro diagnostics projects for our customers

  • Participate in selling our advanced solutions at the customer sites

  • Establish simulations on our novel informatic solutions

  • You have the ability and capability to coach people and build the healthcare consultancy to the next level as a member of an agile team

Who you are:

In hiring new employees, we look for people who are also inspired by our mission and who would fit in well with the collaborative, meticulous and entrepreneurial spirit of the company culture.

  • You have a relevant education background (ideally linked to the laboratory processes and science, University degree is ideal but not mandatory)

  • Ideally you have 5 - 15 years of experience with the laboratory workflows and/or laboratory management

  • You would be eager to be part of projects involving innovation and problem solving

  • You are in ease with verbal and written communication, and are able to present in front of an audience

  • You have some experience of project management

  • You master multiple languages, such as Dutch and/or French and English

  • You demonstrate a flexible approach and ability to actively listen in order to meet customers’ expectations

  • You are flexible with your work hours and you are willing to travel whenever needed. You will spend up to over 50% of your time at our Belgium customers

  • You have a sense of responsibility in order to achieve the company's objectives, while respecting its vision and values

You will enjoy our workplace flexibility; you can work from home, or at the customers, no need to come to our offices every day.
