The newly formed Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) and Engineering organization takes bold steps to modernize technical operations so Roche can deliver medicines for patients more quickly, efficiently and reliably. In partnership with Pharma Technical (PT) colleagues, we shape and accelerate technology innovation for tomorrow, while standardizing and driving operational excellence in PT today.

The Advanced Data Analytics in PT (ADAPT) Program pioneers advanced data analytics across Roche Manufacturing to unleash potential by harvesting knowledge from complex data landscapes. In particular, ADAPT is interested in increasing our understanding of process variability, analytical method variability and raw materials, to improve E2E operational performance at various manufacturing sites across the globe. ADAPT is part of our bigger vision of bringing data back to the process.

As the lead of the ADAPT program you will work with business leaders and technical experts across Roche Pharma, (including the Roche Internal Manufacturing Network, PT Global MSAT and Technology (PTT), Technical Development, Quality, Procurement, Finance, Regulatory, Supply Chain) and will be responsible for establishing, facilitating and sustaining the program across PT. In this position you will role model agile project management/execution and digital thinking and strong leadership on PT level, including rapid decision-making, objective prioritization, strong communication and influencing skills, and strategic agility, in order to deliver the necessary value to the organization.

We expect you to have practical and theoretical expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (Drug Substance and Drug Product) and applied technologies. Excellent communication skills for establishing and expanding the ADAPT connections to stakeholders in different areas will be essential. You will build and coach global use case teams to facilitate problem solving. Specifically, you will be accountable for delivering a strategy on how to further advance ADAPT, including concepts on how to expand to other areas of the business to facilitate standardization and continuous improvement through the program. You are accountable for project execution in accordance with approved timelines, milestones, and budget.
