Overall purpose of the position

The People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner - Subregion LATAM will be responsible for the Subregion LATAM for Roche Diagnostics, and will also provide P&C support across different sub-regional functional areas. They will be an integral part of the P&C Business Partner community and will work closely with other their other P&C colleagues in the other sub-regions and with the P&C colleagues in the countries of their sub-region.

As a People & Culture Business Partner for Sub-region LATAM, you will bring: 

Business Acumen

  • Aligns P&C strategy, goals, and objectives to overall business strategies and objectives; translates P&C strategies to drive key business results; provides guidance on talent management, workforce strategies, organization design and reward and recognition in partnership with other P&C domains

  • Maintains broad-based knowledge of multiple leadership areas across the Sub-regional organization and their operations; uses knowledge of business and P&C insights, metrics, expertise, and decision principles to effectively diagnose topics with a wide range of complexity

  • Recommends business practice/work process improvements to identify opportunities for leveraging human capital; ensures all P&C initiatives have ROI that adds to organizational value

  • Maintains knowledge of external environment and other related information on peer and comparison groups to effectively diagnose and implement strategies to help drive business decisions

Leadership

  • Strategic sparring partner and coach to the P&C Business Partners of the countries in the sub-region

  • Leads or participates in cross functional, cross regional and cross company teams to meet the P&C goals, to bring innovation into P&C and to solve complex organizational issues

  • Diagnoses P&C needs and identifies interventions that address issues of retention, change leadership, employee engagement, and leadership development

  • Coaches and mentors senior business leaders in P&C related topics 

Qualifications & Experience

  • You have a university degree ideally combined with an MBA or a higher HR degree

  • You have worked in the area of human resources in a leadership role at country and ideally also at regional level.

  • You bring experience in working for a multinational company where you helped shaping People & Culture (HR) across large and diverse parts of the business

  • You have built a diverse and inclusive work culture by fostering psychological safety and a strong sense of belonging

  • You bring an enterprise mindset, system thinking and proven ability to work effectively across multiple leadership areas, global teams and networks

  • You have navigated different HR systems and collaborated with HR experts in different HR domains such as talent management, compensation, recruitment etc.

  • You have demonstrated the ability to influence with courageous authenticity at senior level and build trust with individuals at all levels within the organization

  • You are able to leverage digital tools for collaboration, co-creation and sharing across the system

  • You are fluent in English and Spanish
