As a member of the IT Global Relationship Management tribe, this position consults and designs technology and IT services for the Diabetes Care organization of the Global Supply Chain.


Job Purpose

The Consultant and Design role liaises the IT function with the Global Supply Chain organization. The scope encompasses Order Management, Forwarding, Transportation and  Warehouse Management, Network Design, Data Mining and Process Automation. It provides technology and processual guidance to ensure maximum ROI for IT business strategy requirements. 


Key Accountabilities

  • Consult & design for the above mentioned capabilities. Performs solution / application design and business process optimization to meet business , customer and technology requirements at a global level in the respective capability

  • Works with global stakeholders to review applications and technology (including local IT tools), helps facilitate the introduction of new technologies in the IT landscape as it aligns with business strategy 

  • Translates complex business requirements into solutions and procedures meeting customer and technical requirements, while observing defined financial requirements. 

  • Assumes BPM responsibilities with low demand management activities to manage business requirements scoping, technical translation and coordination with DevOps in personal union without additional hand-off

  • Supports with architecture, security and data privacy clearance   

  • Ensure IT compliance along Roche policies, by working with legal, privacy and security

  • Supports resolution of system issues and business continuity by working with the IT organization to resolve incidents and analyze problems

  • Works with architects to understand new technology trends and forecast future IT infrastructure requirements

  • Works with project managers to provide business and IT improvements to stakeholders

  • Helps evaluating IT project objectives, analyzes new business initiatives and demands

  • Develop the business cases to be presented to the IPC (IT Portfolio Committee)

  • Consults business on best use of IT solutions and capabilities to improve business performance 

  • Develops and improves a pro-active stakeholder management

  • Leads physical and virtual cross-functional squads

  • Travel as required


Key Skills/Experience

  • Holistic understanding of cross functional  E2E processes

  • Extensive IT background in the Global Supply Chain area and the related SAP ERP modules

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, IT or numerate disciplines

  • Total 6+ years’ experience within the area of support.

  • Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence are new fields which will be entered, any experiences are a plus

  • Familiarity with change management, risk management and quality management

  • Awareness of project management methods

  • ITILv3 experience and knowledge is a plus

  • Proven analytical skills with ability to drive efficient design concepts and deliver against milestones

  • Strong influencing and communication skills, fluent in English

  • Capable of working in an international environment with virtual teams

  • Strong team player with proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision. 

  • Previous experience in the pharma or diagnostics industry or other regulated environment is a plus
