Purpose

Within the program “ASPIRE” (Creating the digital backbone for Roche’s contribution to people’s health), the Expert Business Process Modelling and Notation ensures that Business Process Management  methodologies and standards, especially business process documentation and modeling guidelines are applied in a systematic way. This role will deliver project management and business process modeling support to the program organization in the BPMN solution ADONIS NP.

Reporting to the BPM Methodology Strategy & Architecture Lead, this role will be an instrumental support function to develop standardized and aligned business process documentation in a professional BPMN solution. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

BPMN and business process design support:

  • Designs and documents Business Processes in Adonis NP based on input from Business Process Owners, BPM and ERP vision workstreams and BPM communities

  • Ensures that BPMN 2.0 standards, as well as other BPM modeling guidelines and conventions are consistently applied

  • Ensures that the guidelines and conventions related to BPMN and business process modeling are published and up-to-date 

  • Visualizes the Roche BPM architecture in an intuitive and navigable process architecture in ADONIS NP

  • Assists in developing and maintaining the Roche BPM framework

ASPIRE program support

  • Provides BPMN 2.0 expertise and training to the network as applicable

  • Supports ASPIRE workshops and other initiatives with expertise in BPMN 2.0 and other aspects related to the BPM methodology 

 

Stakeholder Management and Interfaces:

  • Communicates proactively with internal customers and team members

  • Supports integration and alignment with other BPM related IT solutions, e.g. SAP Solution Manager, Celonis, etc.)

  • Ensures seamless information exchange with other stakeholder groups, e.g. in the areas of training and IT system support

Continuous improvement:

  • Pro-actively identifies opportunities for process standardization and harmonization and shares them to the BPM network via the BPM Methodology Strategy & Architecture Team

  • Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the BPM modeling guidelines

  • Researches and identifies new methods, solutions and approaches to be evaluated in the fields of BPMN and integrated process management

Qualifications: required educations / experiences / competencies

Education: 

  • Bachelors degree (ideally in Finance, business administration) or equivalent, Masters degree preferred

  • BPMN 2.0 or other BPM / Operational Excellence certification preferred

  • Certification in agile project management desirable

Experience: 

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably Pharma, Diagnostics and/or medical devices

  • 3+ years of experience in BPM or BPMN and modeling support

  • 3+ years of experience in leading projects or initiatives at local / regional level 

  • Solid knowledge of the American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC) process classification frameworks (or other standard process frameworks)

  • Experience in working in a matrix organisation and in a global environment

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders

  • Strive for the achievement of excellence 

  • Ability to prioritize and manage dynamic workload

  • Proficient knowledge of English (written & spoken) a must, German or other additional languages a plus
