Responsibilities:

  • Leading the technology strategy and architecture that will truly bring our business online and be seamless for customers to consume our products and services. 

  • You will be an expert for an ecosystem that includes eServices,  eCommerce, customer relationship management, service design and advanced integration strategies.

  • You will be a thought partner who can envision and lead future evolution of our customer engagement platform enabling patient and customer success leveraging our healthcare solutions.

  • Partner closely with key business stakeholders and corresponding Pharma IT Groups and Global Infrastructure and Solutions 

  • Inspiring senior leaders on the Digital Vision, Strategy, goals, status and impact

  • Influence external vendor solution provider product roadmaps and capabilities

  • Develops the technology strategy, architecture and critical investment plan in strategic technologies

  • Ensures that the technology architecture enabling the capabilities remains current with business direction, and directs the development of architecture activities and initiatives in support of the strategy

  • Provide strategic leadership and creative thinking tied to the analysis of technology trends and the identification of new opportunities to help drive organizational strategies

  • Makes expert recommendations and decisions clearly linked to the organization's strategy and financial goals

  • Have a broad knowledge and leverage the technical capabilities of the internal teams and external technology providers and vendors.

  • Conduct market assessments and identify new capabilities for existing and future business needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in a relevant technology field 

  • 10+ years experience IT with at least 5 years as an Architect 

  • Experience in business analysis, planning and design with a cohesive vision of the key business challenges

  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience (aligned to the VACC leadership competencies) including the ability to successfully influence others to achieve objectives in an environment of competing priorities

  • Proven ability to balance business demands and fulfillment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing flexibility

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills; solid business acumen; well-honed influencing skills are essential 

  • Self-motivated and team-oriented; able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a broad team

  • Ability to travel internationally as needed

  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical or BioTech industry preferred

Location: This position can be based in any Roche location globally and working from home is fully supported.
