What is the job about? 

The Purpose of the Customer Marketing specialist Point of Care is to bring the value of a growing Point of Care portfolio to our current and future customers. The Point of Care Marketing team is responsible for product management, marketing and strategy development for point-of-care solutions, and as a part of this team, you will help to position Roche as partner of choice and thought leader.

This all with a strong ambition to become more effective in our core business, deliver comprehensive solutions, medical value and excel in a valuable customer experience.

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Manage assigned PoC portfolio and Develop business area mastery to include understanding of market segments, business model, analysis of key metrics that define success, forecasting sales and product, share performance, trends, competition, customer critical success factors and needs through interaction with customers for integration with programs.

  • Responsible for developing business and marketing plans for assigned areas, market positioning, sales plans, and implementation strategies. Participates in and evaluates market research and analysis, promotions, and advertising associated with assigned segments, brands or products; assesses their success against the Annual Operating Plan.  

  • Be involved in translating global strategy into local marketing programs or translating local marketing programs into segment specific initiatives.

  • Develop and execute strategy and tactics, with alignment to strategic plan to accomplish business objectives.  Responsibilities include: driving or participation in the process for the business area annual operating plan; development and implementation of tactics; evaluation of tactics performance with metrics through business reviews; and effective utilization and communication with internal partners and/or external agencies.

  • Collaborate with sales teams on customer facing presentations, demos and strategic discussions.

  • Collect voice of customer/customer satisfaction insights and seek co-creation opportunities

  • Understand the connectivity with other business areas ,Work with cross-functional teams to articulate the value our Point of Care portfolio brings to customers and actively manage and develop strategic initiatives around the life cycle of certain product lines.

This is the kind of expertise and experience you bring: 

  • Education: HBO / WO education

  • Marketing education NIMA A-B

  • Demonstrable expertise in marketing activities, such as segmentation, value articulation, VOC

  • Minimum 3 years of Product Management / Marketing experience in the healthcare sector, as well as preferably 3-5 years of experience in managing PoC portfolio 

  • Knowledge of organizational aspects of the hospitals and / or Laboratories, and other Point of Care customer segments

  • Knowledge of Point of Care systems is considered a plus

  • Ability to work cross culturally

  • Proficient level in Dutch and English language

  • Experience in a service-providing position
