Your Mission

  • As Data Analytics Lead you will be accountable to understand the EpicX Data Landscape and deploy Advanced Analytic Solutions within the Global Customer Engagement (EpiCX) program. You will work closely with other members of the PIIX Networks, Squads and Chapters as well as internal and external partners. 

  • Data Analytics Lead is the person accountable to deploy the global data strategy and master data solutions defined at the Global Customer Engagement (EpiCX) program to the affiliate. In addition, you will implement the evolving data governance model, as it relates to the management and usage of data across different functions. You will support and streamline relevant processes for data management activities for Commercial/Medical Operations. You will take on the challenge of understanding, and helping to refine, an evolving and complex data ecosphere and using that to drive actionable business models.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Managing the alignment of data strategy and Advance Analytics across customer operations and drive resolution of large scale business challenges and complex data problems

  • Help devise and adaptable governance methodology/framework to enable efficiency and effectiveness in business operations, as it relates to master data management, data integration, aggregation, and reporting & analytics

  • Work on Data Management on cross-functional workstreams and affiliate engagement, through data thought leadership and pull through of strategy and governance policies

  • Assist with addressing ad hoc data issues as these arise from various data users across Commercial or other functions within Roche

  • Participate in various data or systems projects, as assigned; working with a host of internal customers, partners, and stakeholders

  • Define to-be master data model (customer and product) and related scope together with the Affiliate

  • Drive comparison of local data source against global values & identifying local needs

  • Coordinate Affiliate Data Profiling, Source to Target Mapping and Customer Reference Data Standardization

  • Responsible for completion of Master Data related deliverables 

  • Identify master data-related resource needs in R&D resource pool and in affiliate and coordinate their involvement

  • Monitor data migration progress and apply corrective actions whenever needed 

  • Liaise with the data migration partner (IQVIA) to ensure efficient collaboration and to ensure resources from IQVIA are available as needed

  • Together with Data Business Analyst, ensure business sign-offs on migrated master data

  • Take on requirements and quickly show innovative solutions which lead to actionable insights

  • Help to define to-be Advanced Analytics strategy (customer and product) and related scope together with the Affiliate

  • Drive comparison of local BI needs against global values & identifying local needs

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of routine and ad hoc duties so that completion complies with all Roche  IT protocols, procedures, standards and other relevant business requirements

  • Training and mentoring other team members, business partners and stakeholders on related domain expertise

Development Opportunities:

  • As a subject matter expert on Customer (HCP/HCO/Payer), Product and Roster & Alignment data management processes, you will serve the data strategy needs or questions arising from the business and will be responsible for pull-through of the strategy and governance model

  • As the data lead, you will forge strong relationships with leads across the organization to report/inform, gain alignment, unlock & resolve complex business challenges, and influence future strategy

Qualifications and Experience that will help you to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree (computer science, engineering or other technical disciplines are a plus)

  • MBA or other related graduate-level degree is preferred

  • +5 years of previous experience with pharmaceutical/biotechnology data and knowledge of key data assets and providers

  • Experience in Advanced Analytics solution development (Python, R etc)

  • Experience in master data management, data governance, acquisition and/or strategy

  • Experience managing data projects and data vendors in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related industry

  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of commercial data sources & tools; proactively identify novel, effective ways to apply the knowledge to achieve business objectives 

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations 

  • Previous experience in other functions within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry is strongly preferred, e.g., commercial operations, field sales or sales management, field sales operations, field account management, product marketing, market planning, strategic planning, etc.

  • Ability, comfort & commitment in/to operating in a highly regulated environment and industry, which requires an understanding of the imperative for compliance with company policies, procedures, and other relevant internal or external laws, regulations and the like

  • Demonstrable project management skills: proven ability to manage multiple tasks to the conclusion, on time, and without compromise to the quality of work output

  • Good presentation skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities and skills, including business and financial acumen sufficient for analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, as well as the ability to extrapolate meaning from such analyses

  • Strong orientation to teamwork and customer service

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, details oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in interacting with Senior Leadership

  • Preference to have local language fluency depending on the Squad of assignment

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of, or aptitude to learn, business information systems, databases and business analytics relevant to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries

  • Flexibility to attend meetings outside “standard” working hours
