The Opportunity

As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Virtual Care Solutions, you will be a member of the Virtual Care Solutions International Business Team responsible for ensuring the success of our vision to improve patient outcomes.  Under the direction of the International Business Leader for Virtual Care Solutions, you will execute on the product roadmap and own the delivery of the product’s features in accordance with the end customer needs, and the overarching product strategy laid out by the international business team.  Translate the customer’s needs into technical requirements and prioritizing the backlog in preparation for the development team.  Lead cross-functional teams’ alignment on the execution across a product and will regularly interact with UX, Engineering, and Data Science to ship innovative solutions to customers.

The Senior Technical Product Manager for Virtual Care Solutions is newly created role and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape how diagnostics is used to improve patient outcomes with a special focus on:

  • Product managing the Virtual Care Solutions portfolio targeted at the provider setting; and its respective capabilities.

  • Work with Clinicians, Patients, Nurses, IT administrators in the virtual care delivery settings, as well as broader clinical care delivery teams, to understand the clinical and operational pain points, and the most impactful solution opportunities for virtual care and digital health solutions leveraging emerging mobile, wearable, speech and AI/ML technologies.

  • Deeply understand the end user use cases, and the respective product requirements; translating these requirements into user stories and system level requirements for the RIS Architecture and SW engineering teams, as well as the Data Services teams.

  • Collaborate with the International Business Leader, and Business Product Managers to translate the business requirements into user stories and system requirements, while maintaining a groomed product backlog for implementation by the scrum teams.

  • Own the sprint grooming sessions and participate in the agile scrum ceremonies.

  • Communicate with the scrum teams to help scope and prioritize the user stories.

  • Manage day-to-day priorities with engineering teams and escalate trade-offs with stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the UI/UX team to design elegant user experiences that help solve customers’ pain points.

  • Participate in daily standups, release planning, and retrospectives.

  • Provide the voice of the user to the development teams and ensure that teams have clear understanding of what they are developing and the value it delivers.

  • Execute on the product roadmap and translate high level strategies into manageable stories and product backlog.

  • Participate in internal workshops to define and initiate projects, assisting the Engineering team to identify dependencies.

  • Support the development teams during each release cycle to clarify requirements, make priority calls, review test plans and determine a release schedule.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or other technical degree with 5+ years of experience as an Agile/Scrum Product Owner or Technical Product Manager.

  • Experience with JIRA or a similar backlog management tool.

  • Experience shipping an enterprise, SaaS, or health-related technology product (for internal or external use) is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders with varying degrees of technical knowledge.

  • Self-starter comfortable working in a rapidly evolving fast paced environment.

  • A willingness to take the lead in new projects, be seen as a decision maker and drive projects to a successful outcome.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members. Understand the intersection between clinical healthcare, technology applications, and trends.

  • Previous experience working on clinical workflow, informatics or decision support solutions informatics is required.

  • Previous experience building patient centric commercial digital health and virtual care products for patients and clinical end users is required, with a preference for experience building solutions that target digital diagnosis, disease management and population health solutions.

  • Deep knowledge in cloud-based technologies, mobile platforms, wearables and health informatics is required.

  • Successful prior experience working in patient centric software solutions in wellness, MedTech or Biotech industry settings preferred.

  • Good understanding of software quality management systems, regulated software in healthcare and agile.

  • Able to foster positive partnerships through effective influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve alignment up and down the organization.
