Head of Story Lab

The Opportunity:
Responsible for the strategy, development, implementation and evaluation of content and digital channel management for corporate and corporate campaign websites, and corporate and executive social media channels. Focuses on reputation management for Roche Diagnostics in the U.S. across the digital channels (in partnership with BASE organization).
As a key member of the Roche U.S. Communications leadership team, responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, evaluation and execution of company content via the management of the company’s Story Lab. The Story Lab is the organizing center of all story design for the organization and brands for the organization. Stories will be the mechanism for reaching stakeholders in a digital first world across digital and social channels and platforms. Oversee Studio Lab and other creative services.
Lead Story Lab to drive stakeholder engagement developing stories, testimonials, and technologies such as podcasts, video, etc. aligned to Roche narrative.
Institute best practices across channels and develop policies and procedures to support storytelling efforts throughout the business.
Oversee the creative process including content development, calendar, platforms, metrics, and innovative stakeholder engagement strategies.
Determines content strategy, design, distribution, audience, etc. based on strong understanding of business priorities.
Institute digital best practices, policies and procedures to support digital communications efforts in the U.S., including maintaining high quality standards on country-level corporate websites through periodic audits and content ownership mapping.
Oversee the management of corporate social media presence, including content development, performance metrics, and innovative stakeholder engagement strategies to tell a holistic Roche in the U.S. story.
Collaborate closely with corporate communications team members to align on content strategy, development and maximization across digital channels.
Define new channels that the Communications team should be adopting in order to reach new stakeholders and meet the needs of existing stakeholders.
Partner with global to ensure consistency with global Roche narrative.
Ensure global, regional and local regulations are adhered to, in collaboration with colleagues in Compliance, Digital Marketing, HR, Legal and others, across the available and new digital technologies that the Communications team oversees.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
10 years communications, marketing communications or related business experience.
5 years direct or indirect leadership experience
Preferred:
10 years of professional communications experience.
Experience in the healthcare industry
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Proven ability in working with and advising C-suite executives.
Solid corporate and business knowledge.
Excellent leadership qualities, including motivating others, team building, and credibility.
Team player that enjoys building partnerships at all levels within an organization.
Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple projects
