Infrastructure Services (IS) is part of Global Infrastructure & Solutions (GIS) in Group IT. We enable the success of our IT Partners and Roche by providing reliable, adaptable and efficient infrastructure services. More than 700 people located across the globe work together to create integrated, scalable products and services for our IT Partners and line of business consumers.

As part of our strategy, the IT Product Line Manager will be accountable for Cloud Services, key infrastructure products and services which require end-to-end integration and excellence in service and product management. The IT Product Line Manager will partner with a wide range of stakeholders (consumers of the service, other IT Product Line Managers, service delivery managers, enterprise technology and solution architects, infrastructure engineering, project delivery teams, and operations), in order to lead the design, development, delivery and operation GIS Integrated Products & Services for Roche's current and future IT infrastructure needs. We expect the IT Product Line Manager to be a passionate business and product/service advocate within IT, and act as a senior leader in complex, global matrix environments.

As IT Product Line Manager your main accountabilities will be:

  • Help shape and continuously improve the consumer experience by defining the success of Cloud Services for Roche. Nurture trust and mutual purpose with our internal consumers wherever they may be. Establish agile, cross-functional teams around the integrated products and services in a matrix environment and contribute to a community of practice to grow and evolve our product and service orientation capabilities and drive a simpler GIS-wide experience for our internal consumers. 

  • Identify and assess opportunities by ensuring GIS understands the needed capabilities and effectively delivers the required consumer experience for Cloud Services (IaaS and PaaS), along with appropriately mapping business needs to technology capabilities.

  • Define integrated services and roadmaps in full collaboration with enterprise technology architects by creating and aligning strategic direction with product and service area sponsors, service delivery managers, other IT Product Line Managers and other stakeholders.

  • Create, substantiate, and drive project proposals for GIS portfolio investments required to create or enhance the integrated products and services, to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and operating level agreements (OLAs) are established and fulfilled for the end-to-end services.

  • Own and evolve integrated products and services by managing consumer experience and satisfaction, while appropriately focusing on cost efficiency. 

  • Provide high level consultancy about the service, and the fit for purpose as related to the business drivers and needs from consumers, being a Cloud advocate, participate and drive activities to increase the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of cloud adoption in the organization.

  • Drive five years strategic product & service horizon, with focus on sustainability of the service in terms of costs balanced with the growth and demand.

The position will report directly to the Head of Infrastructure Services, being an active member of the Leadership Team.

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, ideally also a Masters degree or greater.

  • Proven experience in IT environments, ideally but not mandatory in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • At least 7 years of demonstrated excellence in product/service management and customer relationship/account management, for example as a consultant, service owner or a product manager.

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product/service throughout its lifecycle.

  • Proven ability to develop product/service and marketing strategies and effectively communicate to executive management and consumers at all levels.

  • Significant, successful experience with creating and effectively leading cross-functional teams in complex, global matrix organizations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience in consulting for cloud business value creation is a plus.

  • Experience operating with Cloud hyperscalers (e.g. AWS) is a plus.
