As a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst, you will organize, analyze, makes recommendations, and manage a variety of logistics issues. Your duties may involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export administration & coordination, shipping, freight cost analysis, and third party warehousing. You will evaluate customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met. You will ensure security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. You will research transportation methods and audit carrier costs and performance. You will provide data analysis for production planning and volume and cost analysis. You will participate in cost reduction and process/rating improvement efforts. You will assist in developing logistics plans and procedures.
As a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst, you will have specialized knowledge of specific work processes or area. You will provide analytical work to assigned area. You will have advanced knowledge of a specific field, and apply this knowledge to look in-depth at information pertaining to the area. You will manage, organize, analyze data or other information and make recommendations for improvement. You will act as a resource in providing information to others in the implementation of solutions and may be expected to drive specific solutions/initiatives. You will apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to analytical work.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
Evaluate, recommend, and drive cost and process improvements as it relates to transportation management and freight payment and reporting.
Analyze, create, coordinate, document, and report freight expenses. Master computer systems related to freight expense (i.e. Freight Payment, SAP, Carrier systems, Customs Point, etc.)
Establish and execute on-going monitoring systems that identify, alert, and drive process and cost improvements.
Evaluate and report market & industry conditions and trends. Provide benchmarking analysis and recommend process improvements.
Develop and maintain systems/databases to ensure compliance to RD standards and government department regulations (i.e. Customs, Dept. of Commerce, and FDA).
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2 years business experience.
Strong computer skills with competence in Word, Excel, Access, and SAP applications.
Strong communication (oral and written), collaborative problem solving, and analytical skills.
Strong organization and planning skills including project management.
Knowledge of materials management and logistics.
Be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Five years in a data management, analysis, and reporting role
Transportation / Freight Expense experience preferred
Highly skilled at MS Excel, Power Point, and Visio
Experience working in report creation, modeling, and trend forecasting
Strong background in SQL as well as experience performing administrative tasks on servers such as SQL.
Ability to create, troubleshoot, and enhance the business’s data loadings
Clear understanding of key IT business systems, reporting and analytics, and data warehousing
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, or any similar tools.
