What will you do:

As you enter a mature organization, with a new vision for the future you will be responsible to deliver on all services and provide business partnering for our commercial product manufacturing operations and supply. In this role you oversee global direct procurement operations,  and are accountable for the timely supply of raw material, finished/semi-finished goods to manufacturing operations and supply chain. You also have in scope the overall operations effectiveness ensuring a focus on quality, material availability, supply contract compliance and alignment with various stakeholders. As you will lead a significant, senior tram, you will be able to use and perfect these skills further.

Your accountabilities:

  • Ensure Business alignment (effectively translate business strategies and needs into procurement requirements to be used by the global Category teams when developing their own category strategies

  • Ensure connection between local and global activities  

  • Right to operate (ensure compliance to business and procurement processes and all applicable quality standards and regulations.

  • Drive operational excellence (continuous improvement on key metrics, taking corrective actions where required, act as ultimate escalation point for all operational, customer services or other transactional service)

  • Establish governance (structure in place to enable effective decision making for the Direct Procurement Operations team and business stakeholders)

  • Support local processes and technology deployment (work together with the head of Digital Intelligence to define global processes and systems)

  • Lead, manage performance and develop a team of people

  • Identify yearly budget needs to support operational activities and manage the functional budget according to the set target and efficiency goals

What you bring:

  • Relevant university degree either in business or life science

  • Experience working in an international environment

  • 10+ years in-depth strategic and operational procurement experience with extensive knowledge of operational and transactional procurement activities.

  • 10+ years overall business experience, including working within a regulated industry for regulated categories with familiarity of relevant legal risks and issues

  • Successful team leadership (ideally in a matrix setup, remote and geographically dispersed teams)

  • Documented experience in leading value improvement programs.

  • Project and Change Management experience in addition to excellent communication skills and an ability to set priorities direct teams, and deliver on strategic initiatives.

  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders and creativity in coming up with solutions

  • Ability to take complex concepts and explain them in a simplified form to different audiences

  • Complex problem solving, critical thinking as well as negotiation skills

  • Emotional intelligence, active listening and coaching mindset

  • English fluency

  • Availability to travel of up to 50% (air and ground both domestic and internationality)
