Purpose of the role is to provide leadership and experience in the creation and design of Analytics solutions, procedures and business processes that meet business, customer and technological requirements. A seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience. Deals with diverse and often times complex issues, where analysis may require in-depth evaluation of many factors. Exercises judgment in evaluating methods and may determine criteria for obtaining solutions. May coordinate the activities of other employees. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise.

Designs and communicates high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs. Demonstrates understanding of requirements gathering and is able to show how agreed requirements are addressed by the proposed solution. Supports innovation and optimization of processes and methods within the domain to meet system or user requirements and develop new functionality. Supports the development of, and modifications to, solution components.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

The Opportunity:

Solution Architecture

  • Solution architecture and technical design of the Enterprise Data warehouse (DWH) providing commercial business intelligence capabilities covering sales & marketing, professional service and customer care processes for the Commercial Organizations in Roche Diagnostics.
  • Deliver robust, scalable and enterprise wide solution architecture for the business intelligence landscape for the Commercial domain and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, Global BI Strategy and roadmap implementations.
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with Global BI Architects on analytics systems architecture landscape and solutions.
  • Collaborates with the broader architecture community to ensure that the solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmaps.
  • May have accountability for a small team of specialists or to lead a (sub)project team.

Solutions/Services

  • Create and design solutions, procedures and business processes that meet business, customer and technological requirements;
  • Evaluate alternative informatics technologies where required and research industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Translates Highly complex, ambiguous and non-standard business requirements into detailed requirements, into solutions and procedures meeting current business, customer and technical requirements, while observing defined financial requirements
  • As part of dedicated project and part of a project team lead by a project manager, works to optimize and implement processes where required, impacting global infrastructure and applications within the job scope

  • Ensures that existing governance is observed, indicates areas for improvement and proposes solutions and implementation guidance

  • Develop and maintain working method documentation and best practice examples to support business stakeholders in development processes

Who you are:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Analytical, logical problem resolution skills

Preferred

  • 10-15 years of professional IT experience in a major, global organization covering technical design, solution architecture and implementation/development of either Analytics system chains
  • Proven experience in engaging business, understanding business directions/goals, translating the goals into appropriate Analytics needs
  • Proficient with strong experience in area of Business Intelligence/ Analytics tools, particularly in Cloud Technology/ Architecture (AWS, Azure).  Able to understand/ translate trending Technologies/ Digital capability to different business needs
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise Business Intelligence solutions with ETL/integration with multiple Enterprise applications (like CRM, SAP).
  • Good Knowledge in Systems Integration across Business Intelligence landscape.  Experience in data preparation, data virtualization will be a plus
  • Experience with leading and managing agile teams
  • Experience preferred in JS, SQL and ITIL
  • Experience in working in a regulated environment and with Computer System Validation or pharmaceutical industry
