You are a well rounded and versatile benefit professional that will work on a highly innovative, dynamic, collaborative and employee-focused team. You are responsible for developing and managing benefit programs and initiatives that are offered nationally to our 24,000 US Roche and Genentech employees and their eligible dependents. The position focuses primarily on employee health and welfare programs and strategy such as Wellbeing, Time Away, Family support benefits, and disability and disease prevention initiatives and strategy. The position will also participate in emerging initiatives and projects within the Benefits arena, monitoring changes in competitive practice among leading companies and participate on cross functional projects within the People & Culture organization. You will work closely with your fellow colleagues on the Benefits team as well as partner with colleagues from People & Culture, Corporate Communications, Environmental Health & Safety, People Support Solutions, Employment Law, and Employee Relations across all Genentech and Roche affiliates.
Manage employee health and welfare programs and strategies in the areas of Health, Wellbeing, Family support, Disability and Disease prevention/management initiatives.
Manage Time Away programs including Vacation, Holiday and Sabbatical including responding to evolving needs such as COVID-19.
Drive program and vendor performance enhancements, program optimization, process simplification, employee engagement and communications, and data insight analyses.
Review cross program data and metrics for insight on measuring program outcomes, engagement and improvements. Use data analytics to formulate recommendations on program enhancements as well as identify any not delivering anticipated ROI / value.
Design and promote wellbeing promotion / disability prevention programs and benefits related to physical and mental wellbeing.
Provide program and policy interpretation for People Support Solution, onsite nurse staff and outsourced vendors as needed.
Provide Benefit program education and awareness presentations to employees and/or manager groups.
Monitor and understand benefits industry trends and best practices, and bring forth recommendations for consideration to deliver on our Employee Promise
Participate in other projects and initiatives as needed.
Who You are:
8+ years of Benefits program management and vendor management responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Experienced in and working knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, GINA, FMLA, CFRA, PFL, and other Benefit regulations and legislation
Able to perform well within a matrix environment with a high degree of collaboration and partnership
