We are looking for a highly-skilled Tender Strategy Manager who will be responsible for the entire tender process within Roche Diagnostics Belgium (RDB).

The Tender Strategy Manager is a strong commercial position responsible for the entire tender process: from the moment a tender is published to the moment a tender is submitted for sign-off to the Sales Director. The Tender Strategy Manager assures the availability and reliability of information and resources for this purpose. S/He decides on Roche Diagnostic Belgium’s tender submission strategy and philosophy. For this, understanding industry trends, assessing how Roche can play a role in them and translating this into opportunities is essential.

The Tender Strategy Manager has the opportunity to help customers by sharing trends and requirements in public procurement. 
S/He actively voices Roche’s position regarding all questions of Public Procurement towards trade organisations, associations, government and other organisations. This means that he shapes the tendering environment in Belgium.

Your main responsibilities are amongst others:

  • Manage and monitor the entire tender process

  • Drive the end-to-end tender process from publication of a tender to sign-off

  • Seek for continuous improvement and implements lessons learned from previous tenders

  • Define and constantly improve Tender Strategy for RDB

  • Act as a driver and interacts closely with various departments such as Sales, Consultancy, Marketing, Commercial Operations and Customer Service, as well as the Tender Strategy Manager for Flanders.

  • Build a strong internal network of regular and ad-hoc contributors to tender submissions

  • Accountable for the availability, completeness and quality of all necessary information, documentation and knowledge in the organisation for the efficient preparation of winning tender submissions

  • Work with stakeholders in the market to address identified pain points.

The Tender Strategy Manager will be a member of the RDB Strategy Community and will report to the Business Assurance & Compliance Director.

  • Business Degree or equivalent by experience, showing strategic mindset and abilities

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, in business-to-business

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English. Additional Dutch verbal and written skills are a big plus

  • Understanding of tender processes and legal requirements

  • Knowledge of hospital procurement organizations and affiliations is a strong asset

  • Experience and knowledge of the Roche solutions is considered a plus
