The Strategy & Customer Solutions (SCS) team within RDC is responsible for the development and evolution of the overall Business Unit Strategy, the identification of growth opportunities and the initiation and implementation of new solutions developments, the management of the existing product portfolio and the provision of global marketing services to regions and affiliates. Within the SCS team, we are currently recruiting a Solution Development Manager.
As a Solution Development Manager, you demonstrate strong entrepreneurial spirit and are comfortable in working in an agile environment. We are looking for individuals that see opportunities arising, are willing to grasp them and develop them further with the vision to make this new solution part of the integrated Diabetes Management portfolio in line with our company’s strategy.
This position offers exposure to various projects & programs within both Franchises, “Insulin Therapy Solutions” and “Non-Insulin & Professional Solutions”.
The ideal candidate has a track record in developing either digital or hardware solutions for the chronic disease management market & has a proven track record in successfully managing developments as product owner or SAFe product manager.
As a product owner, he/she is targeting to maximize the value of the solution by managing stakeholders across all levels. He/she develops a clear roadmap taking into consideration internal and external factors, drives the backlog prioritization balancing short-term and long-term needs & ensures market readiness of key features together with the development teams ensuring a consistent wave of releases to market.
What to expect:
Drives complex and innovative solution development and implementation along the Roche Diabetes Care development process from ideation until launch to execute the segment strategy in close cooperation with International Business Leaders and Franchise Leads.
Provides leadership and direction to cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment and ensures that solutions align with company objectives and customer segment strategies.
Is a recognized and dynamic project leader familiar with Scrum & SAFe. This includes developing a solution roadmap, demand & backlog management for the assigned solution & consequent implementation of core features until market readiness.
Assesses risks, feasibility and soundness of solutions and maintains medical, scientific, market access and regulatory awareness to ensure that project plans reflect the latest scientific developments and regulatory standards.
Ensures technical and commercial readiness of solutions, as well as their correct and timely release. Essentially contributes to the handover to Product Management once the solution is ready to scale.
Key representative to important stakeholders, such as governance bodies, regional business teams, affiliates and global functions, managing stakeholders effectively
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree business administration, engineering or scientific field required.
Master's degree/PhD in business management, engineering or scientific field preferred.
Significant experience (4+ years) in product development, research and development or product management in the health care industry with progressive responsibility.
Experience in the in the medical diagnostics or digital health industry.
Sound understanding of the diabetes market, the recent technological and product developments, competition and trends.
Understanding of the customer needs & unmet needs in the area diabetes management.
Proven project management skills in a challenging multidisciplinary context with demonstrated capability to balance multi-faceted plan according to risk aspects and to effectively manage conflicts.
Demonstrated capability in agile methodology with proven skill set in Scrum and SAFe. Certification as product owner according to Scrum. Preferred SAFe PO/PM certification.
Entrepreneurial mindset paired with the ability to guide, motivate, influence, inspire and empower people across different hierarchical levels within international & matrix program set-up. Experience with virtual teams preferred.
Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and successfully manage stakeholders & lead teams.
High level of resilience and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, business level fluency in English & German.
Willingness for Business travel of minimum 20-30%.
