Key Account Manager Non - Hospital

The function
In the rapidly changing market of Diabetes devices, a good relationship with key accounts like wholesalers, pharmacy chains and distributors is essential to innovate and to offer the best solution to people with Diabetes.

As a Key Account Manager Non-Hospital (KAM), you have a key position in this. You are responsible for achieving the strategic and business objectives of the key accounts and you determine the strategic and commercial policy in close cooperation with the Head of Sales DC Belgium.  You are responsible for the negotiation results regarding prices, conditions, promotions and distribution.

You manage the relationship and strengthen the partnership with existing and new products at leading customers (pharmacy chains, wholesalers and distributors). In addition to strengthening our business, you are also collaborating with the Belgian/Dutch Marketing Team, the Account Managers Non-Hospital and external sales teams to assure an effective implementation of the partnerships.

In addition to achieving the sales objectives for your customers, you are alert and proactive in looking for developments in the professional field and adjacent. You are able to interpret relevant developments and translate them into opportunities for Roche. When initiatives are rolled out in collaboration with the key accounts, you help develop and implement them to make them successful. You look for cooperation and ensure that relevant competitive initiatives are passed on within Roche Diabetes Care. This makes an important contribution to shaping strategic long-term plans and business plans. You are a direct report of the Head of Sales Belgium of the Diabetes care department.

Your profile
For this position, we are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, someone who is proactive and can act quickly. You are a professional who keeps an eye on the interests of his customers and potential business opportunities. You have excellent communication skills, making you a good sparring partner at all levels. You are also eager to learn, analytical and flexible, you have a "hands-on" mentality and you are able to create internal alignment for your ideas.

You also meet the following job requirements:

  • University degree/academic degree in commerce/life sciences
  • At least 4 years of work experience in a similar position or in a key account
  • Good knowledge of the Dutch, French and English language
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience with project management
  • Team player
  • Good problem solving skills and good negotiation skills
  • Proven competencies in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
