The Senior Support Engineer will, under general direction, maintain and support solutions in collaboration with internal and external suppliers, in accordance to the appropriate service level agreements (SLAs), Roche service management processes (Incident Management, Change Management, etc.), and Roche quality and documentation standards.
Within the RnD DIA IT Organization, you will provide leadership and experience in
Maintaining and supporting solutions, procedures and business processes that meet business, customer and technological requirements
Evaluating alternative informatics technologies where required and researching industry best practices and emerging trends
Managing enhancements and change to solutions following industry best practice procedures and Roche processes and procedures
Optimize business processes at a global level in the area of expertise
Develop and manage the respective business critical knowledge within the said area of expertise
Monitoring and continuous improvement of defined support process though KPIs and SLAs incl. communication to relevant stakeholders
Your main responsibilities would be:
Ensure that the solution capabilities are aligned with the business expectations and operational aspects are included in solution design
Execute the defined release strategy for the specific solution(s) taking into consideration business as well as technical needs incl. dependencies to related solutions
Manage the deployment of changes and releases to the productive environment in partnership with internal and external partners
Maintain and support solutions according to valid procedures incl. CSV guidelines in case of GxP relevant solutions
Maintain the request catalog.
Solution support: Ensuring the continual operation of introduced applications within the framework of agreed upon service level agreements
Solution & KPI Monitoring: Monitor solutions and their performance against set KPIs
Evaluation of solutions regarding their functionality, fit-to-purpose and cost/benefit
Have good ITIL knowledge

Bachelor or Master degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications or related field
Strong Mechanical Engineering / Development background
Hands-on experience in administration of CAD-Solutions (CATIA, SolidWorks) and the belonging SAP interfaces (CIDEON, Cenit)
Consolidated knowledge on SAP ERP (R/3, NWBC, S/4 HANA) and the belonging functions such as document management, configuration management and change control
Experience in PLM processes and fast grasp in learning Roche specific processes
Experience in CAM solutions (CATIA, Feature CAM) and manufacturing environment in terms of connecting manufacturing devices to corporate network and provide possibilities for data exchange
Advanced knowledge on IT-infrastructure, infrastructure lifecycle management, and operational client setup
Basic knowledge in applications command line and PowerShell
Knowledge of German language is important – minimum at a conversational level.

Work location: Kaiseraugst (Basel area) or Rotkreuz (Kanton Zug) or Kornwestheim (Germany)
Travelling: travelling is required around 10% of working time; destinations will be San Francisco, Tucson, Bangalore, Penzberg, Mannheim, Rotkreuz and Basel
