In Pharmaceutical Development we have an exciting Postdoctoral Research Fellow position available in the field of Oligonucleotide/ synthetic molecule Drug Substance and Drug Product development. This position is within the pharmaceutical development department of F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. (Basel, Switzerland). The focus of this postdoc project is on the interplay between Drug Substance and Drug Product formulation and process development for Oligonucleotides and other synthesized molecules for parenteral administration. This includes some considerations on UFDF, freeze drying, streamlined API manufacturing process, microbiology control aspects as well as formulation and process development studies to establish a new innovative, robust and efficient end-to-end manufacturing process.

An ideal candidate has:

  • A PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, or related discipline

  • Experience with stability program, parenteral formulation and process development

  • Experience with a variety of analytical methods and desire to learn/develop new methods

  • Experience in handling preparative scale downstream unit operations such as chromatography, UF/DF.

  • Experience with Oligonucleotides is an add on.

  • Experiences in process modeling is a add-on

  • A strong publication record

  • An ability to work independently and flourishes in a team environment

  • Excellent communication skills
