As the RPM Portfolio Manager, you will manage the RPM (RSS Project Management) strategic portfolio and resource management within RPM. Additionally, you will also support or lead projects, deployments or project management services related tasks. You will ensure that across RSS the strategic backlog items are aligned, visible and understood. Reporting to the Network Head of RSS Project Management (RPM), in this position your accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Making sure that the RPM backlog is connected to the strategy of RSS and RPM and matches the operational needs of the collaborating RSS networks
Drive a common understanding of the RSS RPM strategic backlog, and ‘connect the dots’ with other portfolios managers within RSS, in particular with Business Development ensuring the cross-functional strategic backlog items are understood and considered
Collect demand and input from Project, Deployment and Project Management Services Managers, from RSS and relevant customers
Manage the prioritization process (support decision making) of the BPM global strategic backlog focusing on value and strategic directions and capacity planning in collaboration within the RPM network
Oversee the resource allocation based on capacity and skills
Identify the gaps and conflicts with respect to timelines, resources and skills
Lead regular strategic backlog review meeting within RPM
Provide transparency on RPM portfolio and identify the impact (change calendar) partnering with OCM
Act as point of contact for the overall RPM portfolio regarding interdependencies, risk management capacity and resource utilization
Lead or support relevant projects, deployments or project management services tasks depending on demand
You possess the following qualifications, experience and personal attributes:
Appropriate University degree and 5+ years of project management related work experience, ideally in a portfolio management role
Ability to coordinate workload and resource management
Strong knowledge in project management fundamentals and experience in leading a global/complex project, organizing and optimizing resources and establishing clear priorities.
Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in influencing, negotiating, and effective global collaboration. Ability to effectively communicate across various levels of a complex, matrix organisation. Ideally exposure to OCM.
Financial management of projects, budgeting, actuals tracking and reporting.
