The Opportunity:

As Group Marketing Manager, Access and Government, you will lead the Access and Government team to grow and maintain optimum market access for the Accu-Chek portfolio of products and solutions by partnering with sales, pricing and contracting. You will also lead and develop new access distribution channels in order to meet overall business objectives. As the leader of these segments, you must possess and demonstrate a high level of experience and understanding of national, regional, private and government payers.

Job Facts:

  • Develop marketing strategies to ensure effective product positioning on health plan formularies and within the federal government segments, relative to market opportunity. 

  • Develop the Managed Care and Government segment marketing plans by translating them into operational and profit plans to achieve and/or enable market growth and objectives, ensuring we are providing economic value to our payer customers

  • Directs and implements tactical plans while providing leadership to ensure overall business goals and objectives are achieved.

  • Lead the analysis and evaluation of these plans in order to make informed decisions on marketing actions. 

  • Research market conditions and preferences in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential access opportunities. 

  • Identify areas of opportunity and collaborate with colleagues to provide the best solution(s). Delivers market insights to shape Access and Government solutions strategies, designs appropriate strategic projects

  • Remains up-to-date on government regulations and directives and cascades to other functions.

  • Develop overall objectives and long range goals for the team. Create the commercialization plan for the managed care and government segments during product and solution launches

  • Communicate progress to Diabetes Care Leadership team 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or related business or scientific field

  • 5 years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent work experience

  • 2 years of previous management or supervisory experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to motivate and influence in a positive manner

  • Excellent leadership qualities, including motivating others, team building, and credibility

Preferred Experience:

  • MBA or similar graduate degree 

  • 8 years of MCO related marketing experience

  • 3-5 years of previous management or supervisory experience
