We are looking for a Clinical Science Leader in the area of Cardiovascular Diseases to support the Clinical Science Team within the Medical and Scientific Affairs organization of our Business Area - Centralized and Point of Care Solutions (CPS).

As a clinical Science Leader your main tasks will be:

  • Responsible for study design and study synopsis of clinical performance and clinical utility studies for established and new cardiovascular biomarkers
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise with particular focus on design validation plans, clinical performance and clinical utility studies in clinical development teams
  • Support the Global Clinical Leader in the implementation of the medical strategy of Cardiovascular Diseases

With your medical and scientific expertise you will be responsible for:

  • Translation of medical strategy plans to clinical development plans
  • Medical risk assessments and clinical opinion statements within the product development process
  • Exploratory studies and studies generating intellectual property for prioritized unmet clinical needs in cardiovascular diseases
  • Responsible for pre-launch scientific advisory boards and interaction with therapeutic area experts
  • Responsible for review of safety information from clinical utility and clinical performance studies
  • Permanently optimize processes to increase quality and efficiency standards

This role requires following qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD) or PhD in Natural Sciences (e.g. PhD or PharmD)
  • Strong experience in clinical cardiovascular research and biomarker development
  • Experience in developing strategic plans regarding new products and/or product offerings including medical utility, intended use, and clinical studies needed to gain agency approvals for cardiovascular biomarkers
  • Ability to drive local and global decisions with international therapeutic area experts and external government agencies
  • Multi-project-management, knowledge in biometry, electronic data processing and statistics, affable conduct and confident appearance
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or a related clinical field in academia
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Ability to build and foster multidisciplinary global relationships, good communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30%
