The Position

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Product Manager to join our Molecular Solutions Marketing team, reporting to the Senior Market Manager - Molecular Solutions.


You will join a dynamic and greatly specialised sales and marketing team and will be responsible for the product management of part of our Molecular Diagnostics portfolio including reagents, assays and systems. Fully embracing the role you will work within an existing team of product managers that are jointly responsible for the entire product lifecycle, including product management, forecasting, pricing, training, and the provision of marketing collateral. You will be expected to be the subject matter expert for the products you are responsible for.

In your capacity as a recognised marketing champion, both internally and externally, you will lead the assessment and evaluation of market information for the assigned products and provide up to date market analysis to contribute to 3- year business planning.

You will be expected to maintain and communicate a high level of market and product knowledge and to aid the development of marketing strategy and marketing plans, to optimise performance in alignment with Business Unit and Company strategies.

Developing the annual marketing plan you will manage product pricing and promotional activities, as well as produce and co-ordinate tactical tools to implement specific marketing campaigns.

Working closely with the local Sales Team and Global Marketing, you will ensure adaption and implementation of Global marketing campaigns and will act as the link between local country and the EMEA region, providing strategic insights while making sure that the local perspective is integrated into the Global brand strategy.

Based out of our Burgess Hill headquarters, you will be expected to spend approximately 15-20% of your time in the field or attending specific events, both across the UK, Ireland and on occasion, internationally.

Who You Are

Degree-educated in Life Science or Biomedical Science, you have knowledge of the technologies associated with Infectious Disease testing using PCR Based technologies. Whilst a formal marketing (e.g. CIM) or business qualification is not essential, it would be an advantage.

You are dynamic, passionate, hardworking, and self-reliant with a flexible attitude to challenging situations. With a high level of organisation skills, you have the ability to work independently and are able to prioritise tasks in order to manage the considerable technical breadth of your portfolio. Your excellent communication skills enable you to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience that meets one of both of the criteria below with preference given to candidates meeting both criteria below:

Sales Experience (Min. 2 Years) within the PCR based Infectious Disease testing market.

and/or

Technical Experience (Min. 2 Years) with PCR Based Infectious Disease testing technologies gained either through employment in a Clinical Diagnostic laboratory (example role: Biomedical Scientist, or similar) and/or a supplier of such technologies to the UK/ROI clinical diagnostics market (example role: applications specialist).

With excellent organisation and problem solving abilities, your outstanding communication skills enable you to drive product strategy across multi-disciplinary teams in a highly complex, cross functional environment.
