The Software Deployment Managment Senior Specialist (SDM) will communicate and collaborate with Application Provisioning, Global Client Systems Management and Local Service Desks. He is part of the quality assurance process, coordinates client software deployments and performs troubleshooting if necessary.

Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the client environment and achieving quality objectives through daily actions. Participates and is a valuable contributor to projects/initiatives. Responsibilities could be complex, often involving research and analysis.

The role is a global role and requires an understanding of the global IT Organization.

Responsabilities:

  • Has a mindset allowing to work in an agile global environment, interacting with many people across many sites / cultures.

  • Understands the local, regional and global setup of the IT Organization.

  • Is able to communicate in a transparent and timely manner to site IT functions, using classic & social media communication channels.

  • Manages deployments of business applications and security patches (incl.  ensuring client compliance).

  • Manages pilot testing of business applications and security patches (as part of the quality assurance process)  with nominated Pilot users.

  • Leverage ITIL Change, Request and Incident processes.

  • Is able to interpret function related reports and technical documentation appropriately.

  • Is responsible for specific tools, ensures they work properly.


 

Required Skills and Expertise  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related scientific/technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 4 years of successful technical experience in a comparable position supporting similar technologies (enterprise software distribution) and international customers, ideally SCCM.

  • Experience in working as part of global, virtual teams.

  • Basic understanding of Active Directory.  

  • Is responsible and has an accurate, detailed way of working.

  • Is able to understand basic scripts and client related installation log files for initial analysis of incidents.

  • ITIL Foundation and Practitioner Certificate.

  • Advanced verbal and written English skills, additional languages are an asset.

  • Flexible to work outside of business hours.
