The Data Services Automation Specialist will be part of our Global Network Operations team that supports and manages a large-scale Enterprise network with global data centers, campuses and manufacturing areas. The team is heavily involved in handling complex incidents and delivering network solutions over different technologies such as Wireless, DC-LAN, WAN, LAN or Load-Balancing.

We are looking for driven system engineers who are already automating day to day or automation engineers with a keen interest in supporting network infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless, voice, etc.). They should envision a future where network operations is fully automated.
Develop and maintain software to solve complex network management and monitoring tasks, including:
deploying and auditing configuration of network devices.
monitoring network health, including metrics collection, visualization, and alerting.
tracking network utilization over time to assist capacity planning models.
Thoroughly write proper tests and documentation for all tools.
Collaborate with other teams to design and implement tools that help automate end-to-end processes that involve the network infrastructure.
at least 5 years automating networks through the use of programming and/or open source tooling.
High Linux background.
In-depth experience with Python and Ansible.
Working knowledge of SCM & CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git and Jenkins.
Should be extremely familiar working with RESTful APIs to glue together different tools required to streamline workflows. Examples might include IP address management (IPAM/DDI) tools (Bluecat), CI/CD (Jenkins, Git), request or ticketing systems (ServiceNow), team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, StackOverflow) and configuration management.
Should be fluent with complex structured data formats (e.g. JSON, YAML or XML) and have ability to represent network data in various formats based on use cases.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to present complex ideas in a convincing and understandable manner.
Desirable & Bonus skills:
2+ years automating networks through the use of programming and/or open source tooling
Should actively be very aware of network tasks and proactively make recommendations where network automation can make a direct impact on the team and throughout the network teams.
1-3+ years supporting Enterprise networks.
Experience/Knowledge with network device APIs – NETCONF, REST APIs, Arista eAPI, Cisco NX-API, or even native SSH communication to “legacy” devices.
Experience with databases (MySQL, MongoDB or PostgreSQL).
Python web frameworks such as Flask and/or Django.
Continuous improvement mindset and team player.
Experience building / working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience in Lean IT and Agile methodologies (Scrum) is a plus.
