The Position

Governance & Services (G&S), part of System Integration & Solution (SIS), is the organization responsible for driving and supporting standardisation across Diagnostics(DIA). Our vision is to simplify the professional lives of our colleagues and customers with the ultimate goal to enhance customers experience.

DIA UX Strategy & Services has embarked on an exciting transformation to support the topic of User and Customer Experience in Diagnostics. The team is the Global guardian of methodologies and tools in the User & Customer Experience space and is responsible for driving actively Product & Service Design in hardware, software and web application development projects. Embedded in program and project teams, DIA UX provide the services needed for successful user-centered design (user research, interaction design, service coordination with external agencies and usability evaluations). 

We are now looking for a Product & Service Design Lead to drive drive coherence of experiences, and expand team thinking to convergent product design. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the DIA UX strategy  alongside the DIA UX Leadership Team  and key stakeholders in the areas of: Product & Service Design, UX/CX Insights, DIA Experience

  • Be Responsible to drive executive conversations around service design, product and portfolio strategy,  facilitation, and business leadership.

  • Develops cross business awareness of return of investment of seamless Roche Experience across products and Service 

  • Accountable to develop training and evangelisation programs on the importance of Product & Service Design and the return of investment of applying user-centered design 

  • Identify and embed key metrics to measure the success of implementing product & service design in development project 

  • Coach and grow the capabilities of designers and offer an environment where a culture of exchange and co-creation is welcome to ensure people’s development in the different areas of interest (interaction design, industrial design, service design and so on)


Who you are

To be successful in this role you ideally bring the following expertise :

  • Successful track record of managing organizations and/or Design-led departments.

  • Experience in building branded industrial and digital products and an understanding of the latest methodologies to collaborate with technology partners.

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated industries, business acumen, business development and client management skills. 

  • Strong capabilities in integrated design experiences and industry domain

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience. (5+ years in leadership roles; 5+ years in a regulated industry)

  •  BA/BS degree in Product Design, Human Factor,  Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Sociology or other related fields

  • Bold, tenacious, and not afraid to challenge the status quo, always supported by facts, data and empirical research

  • Outstanding communication skills are essential with the ability to communicate credibly at all levels; influence key stakeholders in a highly complex cross-functional environment and build collaborative relationships to ensure seamless project delivery.

  •  Fluency in English
