Area IT Business Partner Head

As an Area IT Business Partner Head you will be accountable for the co-creation and execution of technology-enabled strategies with business partners in the Areas mandate. You will lead a team of IT Business Partners and promote the sharing of opportunities and innovation across Areas and Networks. A key component of the role’s mission is to be an active and impactful member of the Mississauga ONE Roche Council (MORC).

What you’ll be working on

  • You partner with business stakeholders, co-create technology-enabled business strategies through Collaboration-Pods (or C-Pod) across the Area and align with overall Network level Themes and Initiatives

  • As Informatics Site Head in Mississauga, you will be a member of the Mississauga ONE Roche Council (MORC).  

    • Here you will unleash the potential of colleagues on site, leverage the sites diversity, contribute to site usage & growth and foster a sense of community across the site

    • Be an accessible & agile leader for all.  Advocating and enabling change across the Mississauga community

  • You identify business opportunities, form squad teams, lead and support the team to deliver continually improved products and services through iterations

  • You provide effective feedback to Squad and Chapter Leads ensuring delivery excellence of squads

  • You will work closely with the Network Head in Network level strategy creation and execution and lead initiatives under UCAN & PIIX Strategic Themes

  • You lead and coach a team of IT Business Partners, ensure their success in their local affiliates and business partnerships

  • You continually seek reuse and promote solutions that address common business opportunities to fulfill business needs

  • You represent Area at Network Syncs to ensure strategic alignment across UCAN & PIIX

The ideal candidate

  • Has broad business domain knowledge to partner with Pharma commercial organisations

  • An Agile Leader that will develop & coach a “being agile mindset” with IT Business Partners 

  • Will bring an entrepreneurial, business savvy and consultative approach to business partners that drives value for patients and customers

  • Exhibits a high degree of self-awareness, empathy, listening, active curiosity, awareness of different norms and expectations

  • Demonstrates executive presence, strong business acumen, navigates ambiguity, manages complexity

  • Understands market challenges and competitive issues

  • Position is located in Mississauga, Canada.

  • Overall travel expectations - up to 30%

Roche Informatics has more than 4000 experts globally.   Our innovations, support and services are key to enabling us to discover, develop and launch breakthrough medicines.  This position is part of the Pharma Informatics International (PIIX) organisation that partners with our 120 Affiliate teams serving customers and patients.  Pharma Informatics (PI) is transforming the way we work adopting agile at scale to “co-create a better future for patients through information & technology”.  We operate in Networks to understand business challenges and opportunities and work closely with Chapters of IT Professionals to deliver colleague, customer and patient outcomes in small empowered agile teams.  This position will be part of the UCAN Network that has accountability for Informatics in 14 affiliates (Canada, Ireland, UK, Belgium & Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Czech Republic) and a focus on Healthcare Sustainability and Personalized Healthcare across the International organisation.
