About Roche and CPS R&D
Roche is one of the world’s leading Healthcare companies with over 94.000 expert professionals around the globe committed to bringing personalised Healthcare solutions to improve patients’ lives.
Roche Diagnostics GmbH (RDG) is the third largest site in the Roche Group with more than 12.000 employees. In Germany in addition to the Sales organizations (Roche Pharma AG and Roche Diagnostics Germany), RDG focuses on the operational business. Both Mannheim and Penzberg sites are developing and producing new diagnostic tests and active pharmaceutical ingredients for the global market.
CPS R&D is part of RDG and supports all lifecycle functions, while acting as a partner for Roche and the external Pharma and Diagnostics’ business areas. Product development activities span from rare reagent development via assay, device and instrument developments to system developments.
Within CPS R&D we perform disruptive technology projects, which support existing businesses and are the foundation for future innovative solutions.
Your CPS R&D Team in the Roche High-Tech campus of Penzberg, greater Munich
We are a team of about 70 scientists experienced in statistical analysis, data management, data analytics, software engineering and process support located at the Roche Diagnostics sites in Penzberg, Indianapolis and Mannheim.
In CPS R&D we want to bring innovative solutions to new and traditional challenges in Healthcare through data analysis.
We are strongly involved in biomarker projects at early stages and contribute to identify the right biomarker or clinical algorithm to solve a specific clinical challenge. In addition, we also support biomarker projects in the submission phase and explore new data sources via real world data collections.
In all projects phases we are in close collaboration with our colleagues from Clinical Science, Clinical Operation, business and assay development.
Roche is the place for you if one or more of these topics make you tick:
statistical consulting, statistical tools, design and evaluation of experiments and (clinical) studies
process supporting software solutions for R&D, operations and MSA (clinical studies)
assay design and process optimization, e.g., calibration and standardization solutions as well as the provision of related software modules (C, C++, C#, R, SAS) and applications
clinical study support: data management and biostats expertise, software solutions
statistical methods and algorithms, e.g., marker discovery , MS-analytics, SPC, and QC solutions
analysis and reporting of product (systems assays) and process performance
Education. You hold a University degree in (bio-) statistics or Data Science, Mathematics, (bio-) Informatics or a comparable degree. PhD is a plus.
Experience. You know how to apply biostatistical, multivariate and statistical-or Machine Learning methods, when searching for new biomarkers and when developing clinical algorithms based on analytical and clinical data from clinical trials and real world data.
Through your professional experience you can plan clinical studies and create statistical analysis plans, consequently you can evaluate the study results and create analysis reports.
Your are enthusiastic about sharing your results with your team and your business stakeholders, as well as working on publications which show the clinical utility of your results.
Passion for Data Analysis. You have Data Science in your DNA and as such you know how to use programming languages (such as R or similar) and how to implement appropriate procedures for Data Analysis.
All-round talent. You know how to take the lead on a project, while successfully applying your analytical skills striving towards ambitious goals. At the same time, you do not hesitate coming to the fore when collaborating with international teams. In doing so, you can rely on your German and English skills.
